The hotels.com Price Match Guarantee protects your pocket book and takes the worry out of booking a hotel room. After you book with hotels.com, if you find a lower publicly available rate online for the same dates, hotel, and room category, we will match the price and refund you the difference.
And unlike some of our competitors, we will match the price right up to the time of the property's cancellation deadline, whether that is three days after you made the booking or three months. So stop worrying and start booking.
Q 1. What are the requirements for claiming the Price Match Guarantee?

You must have already booked a prepaid reservation.
This reservation cannot be for one of our non-discounted properties.
The lower rate must be available for booking with identical specifications of the original request (ex: same hotel, same date and same room type).
Q 2. What should I do if I find a cheaper rate on a competitor's site?
A If your hotels.com booking meets the above requirements, submit your request using the online Price Match Guarantee or call us at 800-297-4120.
Q 3. What properties qualify for the hotels.com Price Match Guarantee?
A Over 35,000 hotels.com partner properties qualify for the Price Match Guarantee. Just look for the green (Price Match Guarantee) icon when you are searching for a hotel.
Q 4. How is my credit issued?
A If we verify your claim, credit will be issued directly to the credit card provided at time of booking. It may take up to 30 days or the next billing cycle for the credit to appear on your statement.

Price Match Guarantee - If, after you have booked and prepaid for a hotel on hotels.com, you find a lower rate on hotels.com or on another U.S.-based website prior to the property's cancellation deadline, we will either, at our option, refund the difference to you or cancel the reservation without penalty. Package bookings and bookings that cannot be cancelled are not eligible for this guarantee.
Submitting a Claim - You must contact us at 1-800-297-4120 or submit your request using the Price Match Guarantee form prior to the property's cancellation deadline. Deadlines vary. Refer to your booking confirmation email or your reservation details in "My Account" for the applicable deadline. The lower rate must be available for booking at the time you contact us, as determined by our customer service representatives.
Comparison Must Be to Same Itinerary - The Price Match Guarantee is available only for exact itinerary matches, including property, room type, applicable refund policy, and dates of travel as booked through hotels.com. In addition, the comparison must be to the same property purchased stand-alone through another website (i.e., not part of a hotel + air package). The guarantee applies only to the cost of booked travel, as presented in the hotels.com search results, without including taxes and fees. It is not available for bookings on websites where the property or other booking details are unknown until after purchase. You must meet all requirements imposed on the lower price (if any), including, without limitation, residency, regional and age-related requirements.
Comparison Must Be Available - to the General Public. The Price Match Guarantee applies only to prices both advertised and available to the general public on a U.S.-based website. For example, this does not include rates offered on membership program websites; corporate discounts or rates; group, charter, rewards program, incentive, meeting, convention, consolidator or interline prices; prices obtained via auction or similar process; or prices available only by using a coupon or other promotion not offered to the general public. The lower rate may not come from a website where you call to get the rate, or from an e-mail that you received. The rate must be quoted and booked in U.S. dollars (and without reference to currency converters).
Claim Verification - All requests are subject to verification by hotels.com. We will not accept screenshots or other purported evidence of a lower price that we cannot independently confirm. Nor will we verify any request that we believe, in our sole discretion, is the result of a printing or other error or is made fraudulently or in bad faith. Verified requests will receive a credit to the credit card used for the booking. It may take up to 30 days or the next billing cycle for the credit to appear on your statement.
Changes - We reserve the right in our sole discretion to modify or discontinue the Price Match Guarantee or to restrict its availability to any person, at any time, for any or no reason, and without prior notice or liability to you. The terms that are in effect at the time of your claim will determine your eligibility under the guarantee. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms & Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
