    Catalina Canyon Resort and Spa
    The staff at the hotel were very friendly and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The hotel was clean and was in a nice location. It is a five to ten minute walk from the main strip of Avalon, but be prepared for a pretty steep hill that the hotel is located on. If you don't want to deal with the hill, the hotel has a free shuttle that travels between the hotel and downtown every ten minutes or so. I'm picky about my hot tubs and this hotel's left a little to be desired. It was fairly small, the temperature was only about 102 degrees, and the jets weren't working.     Pacific Shores Inn on Pacific Beach
    My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights on vacation. The hotel and pool are nice. There are a lot of kids though, so it was a little noisy when they were running around or were in the pool. It was right on the beach though and there were tons of restaurants and shopping within walking distance...More

    Hilton San Diego Airport/Harbor Island
    I had no problems overall with the hotel but when I called for maintenence to come up and fix the alarm clock they did not show for two hours. I called again and no one came by the room that evening. Otherwise I had no major problems with the hotel....More
