    We stayed two nights in Honolulu - one at the beginning of our trip to Australia and one at the end. We decided to splurge on the 2nd one, since it was Christmas Eve, and chose the Parc. What a disappointment. The room was musty - worse than any third world resort I've stayed at, the bed was uncomfortable, and the room was quite dated. Save your money - stay at the Waikiki Prince Kuhio instead - it was half the price, and measureably better than the Parc.

    This hotel is modern and esoteric, very clean with a spacious room. The ocean view room looks over the historic Halekulani Hotel, with the only complaint that it is also on the service road for the Sheraton Waikiki, so quite noisy in the early morning. Valet parking a plus in the heart of Waikiki, with many mainland type restaurants next door. To experience the graciousness of Hawaiian hospitality, walk across the service road to the Halekulani's House Without a Key, or the piano bar, or tea.

Location. Surrounded by restaurants and shops, the Waikiki Parc Hotel is positioned in a low-key Honolulu, Hawaii, neighborhood near Waikiki Beach. The hotel is two blocks from the DFS Galleria. Diamond Head is two miles from the property.

Hotel Features. The hotel's signature restaurant, Nobu Waikiki, serves international and Japanese dishes, and offers a full-service sushi bar and private dining areas. The Parc Sunrise is open for breakfast and serves American-style fare that includes health-conscious choices. The 23-story Waikiki Parc Hotel offers an eighth-floor open-air pool and sundeck. This rooftop venue provides umbrella sun shades, patio furniture, and is dotted with palm trees. The Waikiki Parc Hotel houses a fitness center with cardiovascular and weight-training equipment. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas for a fee. Guests of the Waikiki Parc Hotel are granted use of the adjacent Halekulani resort's facilities and are allowed signing privileges in their restaurants.

Guestrooms. The Waikiki Parc Hotel offers 297 guestrooms with floor-to-ceiling shuttered windows. Expansive sliding balcony doors reveal mountain or ocean views.
