The biggest problem with the hotel is that to use the valet service for your car it is extremely expensive, considering the price you already pay to stay there

Overall - good stay. 3 issues: 1) Why do high cost 4 star hotels charge for internet service? This is a real negative to me. 2) When I checked out all I needed to pay for was my internet service (since I booked through hotels.com) - BUT their computers were down so no receipt and a long wait. 3) No airport shuttle and they are next to the airport. Very inconvenient.

Needs Improvement

I wouldn't recommend staying at the hotel in the winter months unless you are just looking for a good deal. the Starbucks cafe in the hotel closes for the season so that was a disappointment. it was a 4 block walk to get to the closet T subway and taxis as usual was pricey. During our stay a sprinkler went off and fire alarms went off and everyone had to evacuate the building. it was a a false alarm but they didn't offer any comforts to the guests and they could have offered coffee or something for the inconvenience of it all. the concierge was awful as well. I needed directions to the Aquarium and Ballet and they didn't know how to give the directions. my 12 year old daughter noticed that there were fliers sitting right under their noses and she was able to get the directions from the fliers. over all I guess the hotel is moe on top of it during the spring and summer seasons. the hotel is very nice and the gym/pool facilities were very nice and clean.

Great Hotel

Beautiful! Clean! Great hotel all together, what drove me CRAZY was that thr front desk never answered the phone. They need SERIOUS improvement in the areas of people answering phones for room service or any assistance. No one ever answered, I left messages, and didnt get a call back until I told the concierge that I was very angry with the service. The room service food was great, the hotel was beyond CLEAN. Great rates for the room, really great hotel, just calling down to the front desk is my only complaint, everything else was PERFECT!

Overall a good experience

This was the most convenient hotel for our purposes since it is connected to the new convention center and a short walk to public transportation. Almost all staff members were exceptionally nice and helpful (see comments below on concierge). Amenities were nice: excellent pool and spa, beautiful view from our room, Starbucks coffee and tea service in room. However, we felt like the "finishing touches" we've come to expect from a hotel of this caliber were neglected. The room was fairly bare bones, nothing special. The closet was pitifully small and only fit for use by one person. We didn't find the concierge all that helpful (I probably could have found the information quicker on my own online). I expect the concierge to be the expert on all hotel and local amenities... this is their job. For example, no one seemed to know the real schedule for the shuttle service downtown which made it difficult for us to plan our day.

Great Hotel on Wrong Side of the River

Very nice, clean hotel. Great price. It's only about a mile from the sights of historic Boston - but it was about 1/3 of a mile accross the river from anything other than the convention center.

Very Nice

Our hotel room was so nice - so chic. The beds have nice linens and it all felt clean. Some things we learned only by being there: parking is $31/day (not free, as some websites tout); you can park then take the parking ticket to the desk at check in and they give you a 2nd key to use for swiping in and out of the garage (then you drop it off in the drop box after you've checked out) - very easy system; there is not a ventilation switch in the bathroom (so it gets stuffy); web service is $13/day. Several restaurants are within walking distance: Legal Test Kitchen, No Name Restaurant, Yankee Lobster Co (yum!). There's a bus that goes from Logan Airport to about 2 blocks away from the hotel - called the Silver Line (SL1, I think) that's about $2 a ride. I would highly recommend you don't bring a car to Boston. Even this hotel area, which seems out of the way to the main downtown historical area really is still accessible by mass transit. We would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed the rooms and the hotel....however it is not within walking distance of anything (unless you enjoy walking a mile or two). Also, you have to pay for internet services.
