Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 334Great Bargain, Lovely hotel
The hotel was very lovely! It's gives a small B & B feeling more than anything. The colonial decor was a great touch. The complimentary breakfast was delicious (eggs, bacon, pancakes, fresh fruits, muffins, coffee, juice). This is a perfect hotel for families or those looking for a comfortable, quite, non-fussy stay. I highly recommend it and would stay here again everytime I go to boston. THe location is in between harvard and downtown boston, so it's just a convenient metro ride away. It's also right across from the metro station as well, you couldn't ask for a better location.

This hotel was a great place to stay while in Boston. It was feet from a T stop, included free underground parking and a nice breakfast. The rooms were comfy and clean and the decor unique. We loved this place.

Very charming and great price for the amenities. Surprised at complimentary wine hour (I hope they keep this) and jacuzzi tub.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 334Good price, good hotel
I landed at Logan airport and took the subway straight to the hotel for $2. Very convenient! Nice hotel, was transformed from an old firehouse and nicely decorated. A few minor details that keep this from being a higher rated hotel, no ice machine on each floor, the downstairs bar has some strange hours of operation. But other than that, a great hotel for the price especially if you're planning on doing business at or near MIT.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 334A Gem in Cambridge
The Kendall Hotel is ideally located in Cambridge, near a T stop, across the street from Legal Seafood, and within walking distance of the Science Museum and the Galleria. It is small enough to be very personal, but has a restaurant, bar and an upstairs "retreat" that is a lovely respite from the bustle of the city. It is reasonably priced for the city, and I cannot recommend this place enough, but I am afraid that if I give it such a glowing recommendation I won't be able to afford to stay there!

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 334Great room for the money
The location is good (in MIT) and the subway station is just across the street. The breakfast is tasty, homemade bacon and pancake would give you a fresh start of the day.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 334Outstanding Hotel!
The Kendall was an excellent hotel. We arrived and were promptly greeted and given our room key. The room was spotless and had a lot of character. The linens on the bed were clean and crisp. The towels in the bathroom were very fluffy. The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast buffet and it was fantastic. Each morning we were greeted with hot coffee, orange juice, and apple juice. Also, muffins, mini scones, pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruit salad, watermelon, and cereal. The hotel's restaurant, The Black Sheep had a small menu while we were there because of the holidays, but some examples were filet mignon, salmon, chili, and season specific items. It was really excellent food. The location was fantastic as we were very close to several restaurants- Au Bon Pain, Cosi, Legal Sea Foods, Character's Bar and Grill, etc. The staff was helpful and enthusiastic. Again, excellent hotel.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 334Charming, convenient, comfortable and FRIENDLY
The Kendall delivers comfort, whimsey and a relief from commerical "cookie cutter" hotels. Built in an historic firehouse, this charming facility features comfortable, well-appointed rooms, each with its own personality, adequate in-room amenities, and a welcoming staff that goes well beyond the necessary to ensure each guest's needs are met. We checked in during a snowstorm. The desk clerk, not satisfied with merely directing us to a convenient parking place, went outside to ensure we found the spot he referenced. (The hotel has an underground garage, but the ramp had yet to be plowed -- it was late at night and the snow was falling rapidly). The complimentary breakfast was excellent, the coffee available from 5:30 a.m., and the food at the tiny bistro was lovely. This was the second time I have stayed here, and look forward to a return visit.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 334Very cute hotel; great location
I can't believe how great this hotel was. It's in a great location, right next to the Kendall Square T stop. And on the inside, it's a very nice, old-fashioned, comfortable place. Rooms are clean and spacious, with nice views. Internet access is very convenient -- there's a separate network for each floor. And it was all very affordable. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Boston.
