    The hotel was very lovely! It's gives a small B & B feeling more than anything. The colonial decor was a great touch. The complimentary breakfast was delicious (eggs, bacon, pancakes, fresh fruits, muffins, coffee, juice). This is a perfect hotel for families or those looking for a comfortable, quite, non-fussy stay. I highly recommend it and would stay here again everytime I go to boston. THe location is in between harvard and downtown boston, so it's just a convenient metro ride away. It's also right across from the metro station as well, you couldn't ask for a better location.

    This hotel was a great place to stay while in Boston. It was feet from a T stop, included free underground parking and a nice breakfast. The rooms were comfy and clean and the decor unique. We loved this place.

Location. The smoke-free Kendall Hotel is located across from the Kendall Square transit station in Cambridge, Mass. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology stands adjacent to the hotel. The CambridgeSide Galleria Mall is located one-quarter mile away.

Hotel Features. The Kendall Hotel's lobby is warmed by a fireplace and is furnished with American memorabilia that showcases a specially commissioned clock crafted by a local artist. The hotel offers complimentary buffet-style breakfasts. The Kendall also hosts an evening wine reception Monday through Thursday at its rooftop terrace, which offers views of downtown Boston. The Black Sheep Restaurant & Bar prepares innovative American home-style dishes with a focus on organic and local ingredients. The bar features local microbrews. Wireless Internet access is complimentary throughout the hotel. A business center offers fax and photocopy services. Complimentary parking is available in the hotel's garage. Hotel guests have complimentary access to a nearby Fitcorp, a health club open Monday through Saturday.

Guestrooms. This seven-story hotel offers 73 guestrooms and four suites, all decorated with antique-reproduction furnishings. Beds are draped with Colonial-style quilts, 250-thread count cotton sheets, and both down and hypoallergenic pillows. High-speed wired and wireless Internet access is complimentary, and radios are equipped with MP3 adaptors. Welcome amenities include bottled water and chocolates on the first night of stay. Expert Tip. When the Kendall Hotel's three-story, Queen Anne-style building was completed in 1895, it housed the Cambridge Fire Department's Engine 7 team, who referred to themselves as "The Black Sheep". The Kendall is a member of the Historic Hotels of America and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
