Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 169Really enjoyed the Bulfinch again
This was the second time we stayed at the Bulfinch (same time period the previous year). Ironically, we had the same room as the previous time. Great value for the price we paid. It was proximate to the relatives we were visiting, so it also well met our needs. Our only complaint was that there were many rooms rented to college age students for New Year's Eve, who partied loudly late into the morning, e.g. 3:00 AM. The parade of them checking out the next morning would have been amusing if we hadn't lost so much sleep. So we will certainly consider the Bulfinch next year, but not for New Year's Eve unless they can assure us their policy has changed.

Small, but clean rooms. During our stay, we experienced unhelpful staff - they lacked knowledge of the city - including basic information such as parking facilities.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 5 of 169Great Room for the Money
We were very satisfied with this hotel. I wasn't sure about the bed at first because some of the other hotels we stay at have the pillow top or foam mattresses and this was a coil mattress but it turned out to be extremely comfortable, I think there was some sort of padding on top. My husband and I both had two great nights of sleep and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant both days (waffles with fresh fruit) and the food was excellent. The room was clean. The bathroom was nice, new fixtures, nice tiled shower - no tub but we didn't need one, plenty of hot water. Very close to the TD Banknorth Garden. The T was also not too far away. A short 15 minute walk to Quincy Market and the Hard Rock Cafe.

Easy access to the Garden, North End, and subway system. Relative to other hotels in the same area it is a pretty good deal. Decent room, nothing to flashy and perfect for a one or two night quick and easy stay.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 7 of 169Great room, Great Location
We stayed there to go to a Bruins game. I booked it because of location and found a price better than I expected. I could throw a rock and hit the Garden. My wife and I were very satisfied and will stay again.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 169Great Location for us
I booked two nights via hotels.com over thanksgiving for my wife and two girls. A family emergency changed our plans and I had to leave a day early and only one of my girls ended up making the trip. The hotel was fine. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. The only negatives I can think of was that the bathroom sink was kinda of high for a small child and there was only a shower stall, NO TUB. As we only stayed one night, this was not a big deal. We picked this hotel for it's proximity to family in the North End of Boston. This was the best! It was only a couple of blocks walk to where we had to go. It is worth mentioning that hotels.com and the hotel itself had no problem refunding the prepaid night because I had to checkout early.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 169Comfortable Hotel
This hotel had very comfortable rooms, they were a bit smaller than most, but not too bad. The staff was very helpful. There area around the hotel had restaurants and bars within walking distance. I was very satisfied with my stay here and will come back to this hotel in the future.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 169Extraordinary staff
We chose the Bulfinch for its proximity to the Banknorth Arena, where we were attending a Tina Turner concert. We arrived a day later than we had booked because of weather delays at East coast airports. The staff facilitated a refund of the cost of that night and even upgraded us to a wonderful mini-suite. Both the Bulfinch and Hotels.com impressed us with their professionalism and customer service. I would recommend both to others.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 169Great Hotel!
This is a really great hotel with convenient access to public transportation (Red Line- North Station Stop). Mid to expensive, but well worth it for the comfortable accommodations. The front desk staff was FANTASTIC! Very helpful, polite and professional. The hotel is modern, very clean, and very comfortable with eco-friendly toiletries. Convenience store and inexpensive eateries near by when room service/restaurant in hotel is not available. Two words of advice: 1. cell phones will demagnetize your room key so don't carry them in the same place/pocket; 2. cleaning staff is friendly, but could improve upon their professionalism. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 169Exceeded my Expectation
Our room was near the front of the building. In a flatiron that equates to small. However, the furnishing were very nice and the bed was very comfortable. Overall I give the room very high marks. The Topas bar/restaurant in the lobby was very nice. After a long day with a lot of walking, it was nice to relax on-site for a quite dinner. The food was very good. Service was top notch. The hotel is only a 2 or 3 minute walk to the North Station. From there the you can get everywhere. I would definitely select the Bulfinch again.
