St. Gregory Hotel And Suites

Talk about bang for the buck!!

Considering what they normally charge for their junior suites, this was a GREAT stay. The suite came with a dishwasher, oven, mircowave, fridge, and place settings for two people. While the view was just that of the street in front of the hotel, it was very nicely done. Two to four people could stay in the room, thanks to the pull-out bed in the sofa at the suites entrance.

Great room, great price

I stayed at the St. Gregory with my boyfriend on New Year's Eve, and of all the hotels I checked out, the St. Gregory was the best value in downtown DC. The room was exceptionally clean and beautifully furnished, and the hotel was just a short distance to Adam's Morgan (we took a cab over to save time, but we walked back). I would definitely recommend the St. Gregory.

It was nice.

No parking was available. The doorman offered to park my car for $27. Yeah right! I just illegaly parked it on the street right outside the hotel. The cop told me, because it's New Year's, more than likely they will not be writing parking tickets. I put my trust into what he said and fortunately...he was right. Everything was a little pricey. Thank God I found an IHOP for breakfast, because I would have been broke paying for the breakfast they have to offer. At first they put us in a standard room and I called the operator and told them this is not the room that was pictured on the website nor was it the room I paid for. They accomodated me right away with the Deluxe King. Room was spacious, good view, and it was clean.

Wonderful Hotel

I picked this hotel from the reviews and they were right on. We spent one night there while seeing a show at the Kennedy Center. Great location, Georgetown with great restaurants is right down the street. Would definitely stay there again.

Great deal for a great hotel

I chose this hotel because it was very inexpensive for myself and my boyfriend (both college students). It was romantic and housekeeping was exceptional. The only complaint is there was some sort of cleaning residue left on the toilet seat. Also, parking is very expensive but I believe right next door it is $15 a day as opposed to the hotel's $30 charge a day. It's the perfect hotel for a romantic stay or maybe a business trip.

Excellent Quality and Service

The St. Gregory Hotel impressed us with the friendliness of the staff, the room appointments and cleanliness of all areas. The location is so convenient and we look forward to returning our next visit to DC.

a wonderful experience

I booked a suite to share with a friend whom I hadn't seen in decades and, based on this, another friend decided to book a room at the St. Gregory at the same time. So, not only did I have my own personal comfort at stake but I felt responsible for my friends' comfort, as well. Long story short - we were all delighted. The staff were friendly and acommodating, the bar was pleasant and the food was really good. We were only a few blocks from two Metro stations and from Georgetown and felt safe in the neiborhood.

Good Value

We stayed in a junior suite, which included a fully functional kitchen, with full size appliances. A separate Sitting room with a desk a couch, and a large screen TV. The service was competent and courteous. The room as clean, and properly stocked. The location is just a few blocks from the DuPont Circle Station. The trip to the National Mall was about 10 minutes.

Great Hotel

It's about a 10 minute walk from the Dupont Circle metro stop to the hotel. Parking is not included, it's 27 bucks extra, but you might be able to find some street parking. The housekeepers continually knock on the door and the walls aren't that thick. Nevertheless, this is a great hotel and I'd stay there again.

Good Overall but Some Aspects Disappointing

This was a good hotel with great service and employees. However, I was disappointed that even though it was advertised as having a business center and was in the Dupont Circle area, it charged a per minute internet rate in the business center. As a hotel that caters to business people, this is unacceptable, especially given the lack of warning in the hotel's on-line description.
