Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 51Christmas at the Sorrento
Incredible service at a beautiful hotel. The entire staff made you feel like a close friend they had not seen for years. The service, the room, the food were all a singularly unique experience. Stay at the Sorrento.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 51Lovely Hotel -- with some caveats
The Sorrento is an elegant hotel and the staff is generally top-notch, but the service in both the gorgeous lobby lounge and the bar was very poor on our last visit. We waited a very long time before one of several waitpersons stopped by our table and although she took our order once, she only came back with part of it and then ignored us until we got her attention again and reminded her of the other drink order. Non-apologetic, even rude, she just said, "I know, it's at the bar. I'll get it for you." Likewise, we had to chase down the waitress in the bar for a bill, and even after we asked, she stopped by our table to ask "How is everything?" She didn't remember we'd asked for the bill two minutes previously. Were they overworked or just ditzy? We actually got better service than a few older couples. The waitpeople seemed to concentrate heavily on certain tables. It was a shame. We've always loved the Sorrento and have been frequent guests, but we truly felt slighted on this trip.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 51Great Hotel
Loved the Christmas decorations and the Dickens singers that were in the lobby area. Service was great and the staff was very friendly and dd a great job.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 51Beautiful old place but not perfect
Beautiful old hotel. Friendly staff. Slow elevator (Note: Only one elevator and often used by staff.) Waited for the elevator for almost 5 minutes in the morning on the way to work. Heard staff talking and holding open the door on the floor below. Free wired and wireless internet. Close to Broadway and plenty of other places to eat. Old AC. In the winter it was a bit warm. It's probably very warm in the summer.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 51Wonderful hotel
Great hotel with a great location and staff. My only concern was the small size of the bathroom.

Outstanding suite consisted of two large, very well appointed rooms (bedroom and large sitting room), which were very comfortable, quiet and convenient. Very enjoyable stay at a very good rate.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 51Room service needs help
I enjoyed my room and the ambiance of the hotel, but my room service dinner order was apparently lost and was late. The breakfast order form was never picked up off of my room door and therefore my breakfast failed to arrive.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 9 of 51Very Good Hotel
The hotel is located with close access to the freeways. The staff does an excellent job of taking care of your needs and the restaurant was a great place to eat.

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 51Superb service and quality
Loved the french press coffee and bathrobes! The ice bucket was already full when I arrived and mini-bar made it so easy to settle in with a drink and get to work when I arrived after a delayed flight. They parked my car, gave me tips about the area, speedy valet service in the early morning and I didn't touch my luggage again until I had to unload it at the rental car return the next day. I came in flustered and undone, and by morning I felt like I could take on the day! Thanks goodness too, because I needed that for the work day ahead!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 12 of 51"Needs Improvement"
The air conditioning unit in our room (Room 215) didn't seem to provide cool air and seemed rather stuffy. The bathroom had strond odor of bleach. Otherwise, lovely suite and great service. Would suggest soft drink machines as alternative to minibar.

One of Seattle's finer intimate establishments. The friendliness of the staff and the comfort of the room were both outstanding.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 15 of 51Nice Hotel
We had heard fantastic things about this hotel and, although it wasn't as luxurious as it had sounded, we found the Sorrento to be a comfortable hotel. The meal we ate at the restaurant's hotel, The Hunt Club, was very good.
