Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 186Good for the money.... needs a little updating
The hotel could use some new carpet and a little updating. The location was great. Directly on the beach lots of places to walk to. We had breakfast at the Floridian on Los Olas Blvd about 1 1/2 mile walk. The best omeletes we have ever eaten. Arunba's is a great place for dinner about 5 miles away. I would stay here again. Staff very friendly.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 5 of 186Great Room for Money
We got to the hotel very early, around 10am, and they still let us check in and go into our rooms. We noticed the room's safe was not working, and although it took an hour, they changed our room right away. The second room had a smell and they fixed it right away. We went out for an hour for lunch, and by the time we came back, the smell was gone. So...great service. The rooms otherwise we clean and well maintained, the hotel is really nice, with a bar in the back right on the beach, and the location is great!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 186Nice Room for the price
Great location but needed a navigator to get from parking lot to room. Too many elevators. The charge of $12 a night for parking was excessive and there was no other place to park. Also visitors had to pay, no validation for them. Bathroom was showing age and rust on inside hinges was not attractive or appetizing - looked like blood.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 186Needs a lot of improvement
My overall experience at this hotel was horrible. My boyfriend and I stayed here 3 nights for our anniversary and were very dissapointed in the cleanliness of the hotel. The bathroom of our hotel room was dirty when we checked in. There was brown stuff on the toilet seat. You can use your imagination of what it was. Not only that, when we ate at the hotel's restaurant, the Clipper's Steakhouse, the waitress brought me a glass of grapefruit juice that had a dirty lipstick ring on the cup from the previous user. And lastly, the hotel was extremely noisy. There were college aged people that made noise in the hallways at 2am. The hotel gave us a $50 credit because of what we went through but I would definatly NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. I work for the health department and this hotel definatly fails when it comes to cleanliness.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 186Needs a good reno
The Yankee Clipper is in a great location-- right on the beach, close to A1A strip, Las Olas Blvd and the Port Everglades Cruise ship docks. But it's a little tired and musty. My room was barely more than motel-grade in quality. Clean, but not spotless. Old carpet in room. They have a gorgeous opportunity with their beachside bar/restaurant. But it's a little charmless despite the location.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 10 of 186Very Disappointed
I read the reviews before I booked my room and the majority was negative. Listen to those reviews!! Cigarette burns on sheets, rooms grundgy feeling and bathroom very outdated. For a Sheraton this was a great disapointment!!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 12 of 186Needs improvement/good deal for the money
The hotel is old and outdated. For the money it is a good deal if you are traveling alone or with "the guys." Right next door is the Marriott Harbor Beach which is an excellent family resort-stayed there in June.
