Sheraton Ft Lauderdale Airport Hotel

Great hotel with long term parking.

The rooms did not have safes and refrigerators. Outside of that everything was excellent.

Great Airport Convenience

I had a one day business meeting in the Miami area and the hotel proximity to the FLL airport provided a great location.

Sheraton Ft. Lauderdale Airport

This hotel is across the street from the Ft. Lauderdale Int. Airport & 5 minutes from the Port Everglades Cruise ship center. The location is very convenient. However, the hotel is in a state of either disrepair, or early renovations. I couldn't tell. The Lobby was closed and was apparently moved to a temporary ballroom location. The room was comfortable enough, but the cleanliness was questionable. TV remote didn't work, bathtub was backed up, and bathroom floor needed a good scrubbing.

convienient to airport

the hotel is under slight renovation at entrance but does not hinder your stay. the shuttle service in the early AM was a mess. the drives was clueless and the wait if in a hurry was too long. meanwhile another shuttle was waiting and empty while our driver overloaded.

Good hotel

we had a great room for how much we paid. good beds, nice TV, nice pool.

Loved the Stay!

We loved our recent stay at the Sheraton Ft. Lauderdale Airport. We brought our two year old soft coated wheaten terrier and he loved it too. The pillow top beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was clean, attractive with a great shower. The room was spacious, the employees were super friendly and we would definitely stay there again.

Needs improvement

Our room smelled a bit of stale smoke when we entered even though it said it was a non-smoking facility. Also the bathroom sink was very slow to drain. From the write up it sounded to me that breakfast was complimentary but we found out after we ate that it was not. I think that should be clarified.

Areas of improvement

The shuttle from the airport needs more attention to customer service. It is the first point of contact and seems to set the mood. We waited 40 minutes at the airport for the shuttle. Called when we got our bags and then again 30 minutes later. It was 9:30pm at night so not a busy time. The shuttle driver told us he was told 10 minutes ago to come get us. Also the food service in the bar is to slow! 15 minutes after I ordered my selection they came back and told me it was no longer available. It seems like the service in Florida is awful...spoke with others that provide service and they indicated how horrible the area service was for them being a local. With a faltering economy they should step it up a notch. Saying your sorry and constatnly having one blunder after another makes the sorry not heart felt. Otherwise the property was clean and the room was nice. What they don't tell you is the shuttle runs every half hour. That should be in their information!!
