Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 630Love It!!!
The location was GREAT! The room was big for rooms in NYC...we have stayed in other places (they were nice too) but the rooms were tiny and they location was much farther away from the main stream of things. Highly recommend!!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 630Great Area for Money
We hit a great 24hr sale! This hotel has a great location for Times Square, Central Park, and 5th Ave!! The bathroom had random hair around the sink and bath when we got in and it is a very old building so a little disrepair and noise has to be expected. If you don't care for street noise just don't stay in NYC at all. The only thing that really left an impression was the impersonal and rude front desk employees. Not only to us in particular but the guests in line before us and after we left the desk and were waiting for the elevator.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 630nice clean room
The room was very nice and clean. The bathrooms were nice and clean also, but you had to be very careful when taking a shower. The water would be fine, then suddenly scalding, suddenly freezing, then normal. You just needed to be careful. The location was great. Carnegie Hall was just across the street. Steinway Hall just down the street. The deli cafe on the street was very good. It had good food, great coffee, and combo specials. Thanks alot.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 7 of 630Very spacious and great location!
We stayed in a one bedroom suite and it was as spacious as an apartment that we rented on another trip to NY. There was a separate living room with couch, 2 chairs, desk, chest of drawers and new LCD TV. The bedroom also had an LCD TV, 2 chairs, king size bed. There was a microwave, small refrigerator, sink and closet with a safe in the entryway. The staff were courteous and stored our luggage after we checked out- right across from Carnegie Hall and a block from Central Park.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 630Great Price for Great Location
While this is definitely not a 5-star resort, it is the best hotel we've stayed in for the price we paid. We reserved 2 rooms, and when we checked in, they didn't have 2 rooms in close proximity to each other, so they upgraded us to a 2 BR suite; it was great. Very spacious, very clean. There are not many amenities, if that's what you're looking for (no toiletries in bathroom, other than soap and shampoo; no workout facility; no restaurant or pool, etc.). But if you just need a clean room in which to shower, get ready, leave, and then come back to sleep in, in an amazing midtown location, this is it! Staff was always helpful and informative; subway stop just a few doors away. And Central Park just 2 blocks away; good placed to get in your exercise in lieu of a workout center. Overall, we were very satisfied, and would definitely stay there again.

Needed a suite but didn't want to spend a lot of money for my young family. Perfect spot for us.

Everyone was very friendly, the location was perfect for us with Central Park so close, as is Times Square. Very roomy, great breakfast, we were very impressed and enjoyed being in the hotel a lot.

The Salisbury hotel had a very nice location within walking distance to 5th Avenue and Central Park and had a wonderful view of the Russian Tea Room and Carneige Hall. Hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room was average sized and had two nice large closets. The only trouble we expereienced was with water temperature changes when showering.

Love the location, not far from Central Park, easy to get to Theater district, Lincoln Center, 5th Avenue. Older boutique hotel, showing its age a little bit. Staff friendly. One small problem, no coffe or cups in the room. Overall, will go here again. Great price for NYC.
