Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 186Great room for the money
Very clean room and bathroom; having both a microwave and a refrigerator were a wonderful convenience; the continental breakfast had freshly baked items and more choices than I expected; excellent value

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 186Needs updating
This hotel has so much potential. It's very cute. It's in a good area, has a nice pool, and provided a great little breakfast which was included. But our room had an odor which may have been a cleaning product of some kind. The furnishings were old and dingy. The worst were the drapes and bedding. Spend a little money and buy new ones! I would have recommended this place if the room didn't smell and the drapes/bedding didn't look like they were from the 1970's. And I don't mean retro. They were worn and discolored.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 186Dated but Clean and Cheap
I just stayed here for 3 nights, it was the same price as my friends stay at the Ace for 1 night. I, like many others in PS pool jumped all weekend. The only time i used the room was to sleep. It is a pretty vintage looking hotel fromthe outside with that old hawaii/palmssprings feel to it.The inside of the room was very big and had a private patio. The rooms were very clean and smelled normal. Free internet and a free breakfast make this a great bargain and I am returning.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 9 of 186Dated hotel, but well taken care of.
Clean, convienent and cheap, like really cheap. Has nice diy belguim waffle maker for the free breakfast. Great pool with nice view and good sun exposure. I gotta say i will stay here quite often for that price. Trendy hotels like the ace and biltmore are 30 second walk. But for 1 night thier you can stay here 3. And we roamed from poolbar to poolbar freely..

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 11 of 186A Hidden Gem
This is a great little hotel -- rooms large, comfy, well lit, all amenities. The rooms have a sliding door to a patio or deck all facing the mountains. Quiet because it is off the main run. Staff is always helpful. The breakfast includes a wonderful little pastry the attendant prepares, and the attendant is there the entire breakfast period keeping everything filled and neat.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 186literally stinks!
The outside of this hotel looks inviting, but our room literally stank! It reeked of a strong chemical smell, and all of the interior furnishings obviously needed to be replaced years ago. Our bedspread was disgusting, and the sheets were so old that there were holes from the wear and tear. The hotel is actually situated to have a very nice view of San Juacinto mountain behind Palm Springs, but the unpruned trees in front of our room window prevented us from enjoying the view. Breakfast was decent, although the breakfast room is extremely small and very hot (there is a woman in an adjacent room baking bread, and it really heats up the breakfast eating area). The bottom line is this: don't stay here unless they complete a floor-to-ceiling renovation of all the rooms.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 13 of 186Royal Inn - Palm Springs, CA
For the price it was alright. It's an old hotel that keeps it clean as possible. There was a slight smell, after you turn on the AC you can hardly notice. It was a sweet little room for the price.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 186Just ok
The hotel showed some signs of being run down, from the outside lights on the palm trees never came on at night,to the bathroom that needed remodeling, and the front desk people were not very friendly....
