Royal St Charles Hotel

outstanding location and cheap room

one block from bourbon street. cheap rates, but had to wait over an hour for our car at check out. everything else for our trip was great.

Great Room for the Money!!!!

I have stayed at the Royal St. Charles several times. I love the down comforter and pillows unlike the thin blanket and pillows at other hotels. It is also about a block away from bourbon st., i would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Needs improvement

To start the check-in time was horrible. I waited for 45 minutes to check in with only two guests in front of me. There were other guests belonging left in the room and the beds were very uncomfortable. The telephone cord would not stay in the phone and you had to physical hold it in to make a call and the staff was not very happy to be working there. Trust me a few more dollars to stay at another hotel is in your best interest.

great price and location

the hotel really exceeded my expectations, considering the sale price on a great night life location of new orleans. the hotel is very accessible, we enjoy our stay with just a walking distance to the harrah's casino, river walk and the french quarter.

just what we were looking for

The hotel was in a perfect spot for what we were in town for. We went for a Saints game and to party a bit on Bourbon Street. Also, the hotel has a very nice bar that we stopped in at a few times. Everyone that I dealt with was very helpful.

Loud music

The hotel bar plays EXTREMELY LOUD dance music all night long. It stopped around 2am and the woman at the counter the next morning was surprised b/c she said it usually goes on until 6am.

Not bad for he price

Nice "boutique" hotel. Within short walk to the Quarter, restuarants and other major attractions. Room was small, free breakfast was ok and the service staff was nice. I would recommend this place for a short stay.

Good Hotel, Location but Bad Front Desk Service. Carefull Extra Fee!!

The Hotel is in a good location, 2 streets away from Bourbon St and 1 from Canal Ave. Room was in a good cleaning condition, but no hangers, no tv remote control, and no phone. Be carefull!!! they will charge you a "no optional communication fee" that you agree to pay when you sign your check in, but they will charge it when you check out. Even I couldn't use the "communication feature" because I didn't have a phone in my room, they made me pay it. This fee is also for wireless internet and tv. My overall experience was good but I had bad experience with their poor front desk service (not very nice people) and the extra fee they make you pay.

Worst service ever. Completely rude. Will never go back. What happened to "Southern Hospitality"?

Great Hotel

The stay was great for the money and the location. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Didn't need the car down from valet because everything was in walking distance. Would recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to spend too much money but wants to have a great time. The only complaint is that there was one elevator working at the time of my stay and during check-out time, you had to wait a long time. Other than that, I will absolutely be staying there again.
