Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 82Nice hotel, small suites
We booked and stayed at this hotel as part of our credited free stay in Dallas for our adoption. It was a good location, but the suite was very small and the extra service marginal. You have to valet park your car. Our parents stayed in a cheaper hotel just around the corner and practically had a condo. Their room had a kitchen, sitting area and LCD TV instead of a small 1980's TV like in our hotel. As you can imagine, we used their hotel as the meeting grounds. Was this a good hotel, it was okay, but not worth the asking price. Oh yeah, the bed was very good if you like sleeping on a firm, hard slab.

We now understand what makes this a five star hotel. The personal attention and quality of service sets this hotel apart from anyplace else we've ever stayed.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 82Wonderful!
We had a lovely stay at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek and are anxious for our next visit. I happened to be on crutches during our stay, and the staff went above and beyond to assist me. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a tray of ice tea and a lemon tart. Breakfast on the patio was superb. The hotel and the grounds were beautiful and very nicely restored. We were sad to discover that our own bed was not as comfortable as the one at the mansion. Rosewood absolutely went the extra mile to ensure that we had a fantastic stay.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 82Underachiever
The room decor is straight out of the 80's and in need of a modernization makeover. If you like old 27" TV's, and worn furniture makes you feel at home, then this is the place for you. The staff were great (for the most part) friendly and helpful, but the room decor and pool area were a disappointment to say the least. We will not return unless we are looking for a 3star room at 5star prices.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 82We had a bad room.
The Mansion is a great hotel and the service is always top notch,. However, our recent stay was marred by a bad room. The temperature in Dallas was over 100 degrees We had room 119 on the first floor. The hallways were very warm and this room had only one air conditioning vent--over the bed facing the windows. The dressing area and bath were behind the bedroom just inside the door and had no air vents. Needless to say, the dressing areas and bath were hot as hell. After complaining, we were given a 24 inch box fan--cheap and ugly--but effective. This room also had not been updated in some time and the furniture was looking a litttle dowdy. We were quite surprised as this has always been a very elegant hotel with great location and service. We will have to think about whether we will stay here again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 82Great Place- Needs updating
The hotel staff was perfect. The room was very nice. We did notice that some repairs were needed in our room. The shower caulking was really bad, and the baseboards had started being repaired but never finished. Overall the stay was great.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 82Outstanding Hotel and More.
This is with a doubt one of the most wonderful hotel experiences of our life. All of our expectations were met, but what was most impressive was the personalized service we received. All of the staff addressing by our name, helping carry two coffees and a newspaper to our room, and making arrangements for our meals were just a few of the willing and helpful staff. We are truly spoiled for any other place on the planet.

The entire Hotel is fantastic-from the bell-staff to the work-out facility, the bar, restaurants, pool area and proximity to the " city".

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 82my favorite hotel
The Mansion on Turtle Creek has long been one of my favorite hotels. I have stayed at 5 star hotels everywhere in the world and the Mansion is one of the most pleasant. For visits to Dallas - we visit family - we find it a peaceful oasis from urban bustle. The treetops and red-tiled roofs we see from our window always remind me of the Aventine Hill of Rome. The staff is invariably pleasant and accommodating and the restaurant and room service is top quality. The pool is a refuge for us and our grandchildren - very much a vacation from the usual.
