Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 126One of the most chic top level service hotels ever stayed at, from a hotelier.
Hotel was had top level service which was very personalised. Concierge was very knowledgable and friendly, whilst Receptionist was so accommodating and assisted with a complimentary upgrade, early check in and 2 rooms near each other. The hotel is absolute designer chic! The pool area, was one of the best ever seen. The local area, Palm Springs is beautiful nd picturesque. The local outlet shopping Cabazon, is amazing and very very heavily discounted with all the designer brands. I make these comments as a hotelier myself, having worked and stayed at top hotels worldwide including London's Soho Hotel. Highly recommend!

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 126Retro and Modern at the same time
Loved the new Riviera. They put 70 million into it and you can really see it. The pool area is fantastic. Lots of lounge chairs, beautiful colors, landscaping...etc. After daylight savings time, be prepared for the sun to sink behind the mountains between 3 and 3:30 but then they'll turn on several outdoor gas fire pits and you can just stay on into the evening. Rooms were really nice - get the larger ones with the sitting area and the large bathroom - a huge bathtub and in a separate room, a very large glassed in shower. Of course, drinks at the pool are expensive, so pace yourself!

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 126Fun hotel with a great staff
We were looking for a 3 day getaway and had a wonderful time at the Riviera. The room was comfortable, the staff was very attentive, the pool was fun, the food from the restaurant was delicious, and the spa was relaxing. We went Sunday-Tuesday so the price was great and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. I hear that the weekends are very busy and have a party atmosphere -- we'll have to check that out next time.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 126what i liked and not liked
liked the fact that it is fairly a new hotel didn't like the noise of aircondition didn't like the overall reception experience - and as the hotel is so spread out, it is an anxiety to locate or orient with the premises.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 126Problems at first- but redeemed themselves and then some.
My boyfriend and I booked a single night stay at the Riviera Resort and Spa for my birthday Sat. October 3rd. We initially paid for a Poolside King- however the room wasn't available. SO the guy at the front upgraded us to a Classic Poolside king, we were more than happy, and went to our room. We got there to find that the AC was spewing out hot air, the closed room had to be at least 110. After waiting 15 minutes for maintenance to come we called the front again and asked if we just came up we could move our room. When we got to the front there was a a line of about 9 people waiting to check in, we were greeted by the ONLY and at first quick to remind us that check in wasn't really until 4PM Front desk employee. After going back and forth for a few minutes- he decided to just upgrade us. Which was so awesome of him- it totally was not his fault, but something the management needs to be more aware of. Clearly only 1 employee working at the front desk, on a saturday, AND 45 Min before check-in is going to leave guests a little irritated. Eith way, the gentleman working the front upgraded us to the Palm Suite. it was AMAZING- I wouldn't go back and stay in anything less. =) The pool is great and offers great slightly covered canopies, and a fun poolside menu. The hotel itself is gorgeous and offers plenty of photo ops. My boyfriend can't wait to come back- would recommend this hotel to everyone!

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 126Relaxing Stay in a Luxurious Resort
Stayed overnight and were able to check in early with an upgrade to a poolside room. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice, but the best thing about this hotel are the pools. Because of the circular layout, the variety of seating areas, the palm trees and massive mountains rising in the distance, and the hip crowd and hot waitresses, there's no shortage of eye candy. The small pool in back had a great DJ, but all the action's up front. The cocktails were mediocre- stick to beer or wine or their frozen specialties. The restaurant was amazing, but kind of pricey. You could have just as good of an experience lounging near a fire pit by the pool and ordering a burger from their bar menu. Slept like a baby in their plush bed. They have full cable and decent coffee and tea in the rooms. They even have a nice gym overlooking the pool. Overall, a great experience. We would definitely return.
