Trip Type: Not Provided Review 1 of 304Historical Gem!
This hotel is quaint yet grand in style. Historical but not stuffy and old feeling. All of the staff were very pleasant and our room overlooked the intercoastal waterway with a view of famous Las Olas Blvd. This is our 3rd stay & we plan on returning.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 2 of 304Great Value
The staff was very helpful. We were there during the holiday season and the decorations were beautiful. Location is close to everything. Pool area was really great. My only negative was that I thought the food was a little pricey.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 304Don't get fooled by the Riverside Hotel
This was a total disappointment. Do not take the lower or lowest rate room - they'll put you in the old wing of the hotel - these rooms are Third World quality at best! The valet is a rip off and I understand the Hotel owns the whole block of retail shopes which are now closed due to a pending expansion of the Hotel. The service staff were professional and the food quality was very good, but the physical condition of the property leaves much to be desired.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 304Great Hotel in Lauderdale
The Riverside Hotel is ideally located around great eating and small specialty shops. You can park the car and walk to everything. The ocean is less than a mile away!! Great staff and service.

Great service. Nice location. Shops are fun and riverwalk is nice. Restaurant across the street, Johnnie V, was excellent.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 8 of 304Positive Experience
I really liked staying at the Riverside. Great location, perfect if you are staying overnight prior to a cruise. Restaurants, shopping, movies, etc. are all in proximity. My room was in the old part of the hotel, and it was a little small. Overall a positive experience.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 304Riverside Hotel is my favorite Hotel in Fort Lauderdale
This Hotel is perfect for business travelers like me. All the Families with kids (I do like kids...just not running up and down the halls), and the "Party-Hard" set, are staying closer to the beach leaving this beautiful and historic hotel to those who can better appreciate it. After your work day is done just park the car and forget it. You can walk out the door in either direction and find fine dining live music/nightlife and ample shopping. The hotel also has a good restaurant as well. The hotel has it's legacy original hotel rooms if you are into the history, or you can also upgrade into the newer tower suites if you prefer modern elegance. I try to stay at the Riverside whenever I visit Fort Lauderdale.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 11 of 304A great place to stay
We have stayed at the Riverside Hotel several times and have never been disappointed. The location is fantastic, and the staff is friendly and efficient. We love the nearby River Walk, the shopping, and the restaurants, and it is a short ride to both the airport and the cruise terminal.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 12 of 304Great hotel, great location
We were looking for a lovely place for a special weekend, and Riverside Hotel fit the bill to a T. The hotel is pretty, elegant, and the location is superb. Right outside is a streetside cafe on a great street to walk, day or night. Every member of the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Our room was not large, but was nicely appointed, very clean and fresh. Breakfast at the cafe was hearty and good, and a great price for a hotel restaurant. The hotel felt like a 4-star hotel in every respect. Well, except one, the air conditioning unit's controls didn't seem to work, and after a cold night, we realized turning it down didn't do anything. We didn't try to change rooms, so I can't say how they would have responded. Besides that one flaw, I have to say we were very pleased. Oh, and we got a great price for the room!

Not only is this a beautifully remodeled Hotel, but you have the best of the Los Olas shopping, entertainment, and restaurants all within a few blocks walk!!! Go and have fun!!!

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 304Good service, Bad room location
The service was excellent! Very much above what you receive at the big "chain" hotels. The room was great but the view was sub-par. They put me in a room that looked at air conditioning units, no view at all, not even a view around the corner, or up and over. Just plain ugly view - no point in the window.
