Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 171Outstanding Hotel
Best location on the Waikiki beach. Ideal place for family vacation. Break Fast is great.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 171Great room for the money.
We have an oceanfront room on the 17th floor, a corner room. It was excellent. With three of us we would have preferred two rooms because we were crowded with three of us sharing two full sized beds and one bathroom. However, we had not requested those accommodations so we couldn't complain. Great location!!

Best view from room. Beautiful angle of the entire beach. The only problem is the $20 you pay each day for parking and it's valet only! But overall still one of the better hotels.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 171Needs Improvement with Sound Proof
Hotel was in good location and closer to beach. However, my room was on 6th floor which is right on top of the Tiki's Grill in the lobby level of the hotel. The Grill had musicians who kept playing songs past midnight. Although the sound proof of the room was good, i could still hear the music due to the proximity of the room to the Tiki's. My wife couldn't sleep well on some days.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 171Good hotel but small bathrooms
I liked this hotel a lot. Quite funky and the bed and sheets were comfy. The bathroom was very small as was the lanai. I would not pay for a partial ocean view. Not worth it in my opinion. You cannot even sit on the lanai it's that small. We could barely open the sliding door all the way to get on it. But the bed was nice. No room service as well. The location can't be beat and the best Japanese restaurant, Sensei, is right across the street!

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 171Parking Stinks
The hotel was great but breakfast was cold even if you were there at 6AM when they served it they offer live entertainment during breakfast which is really cool and no I'm not referring to the birds but they are fun to watch. The hotel gets crowded but it's still manageable. The entrance to the hotel is congested with buses blocking the entrance to the Valet area. No self parking and parking is 20.00 a day plus the expectation of a tip every time they fetch your car. I normally don't valet if given the choice I'm cheap like that. The valet guys were really nice though, very helpful and talkative so they really do deserve a tip. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel the restaurant sucked for food but the band is generally good, if you are just planning on going for drinks stop at the ABC store down the block from the hotel and enjoy the tunes from your balcony.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 171Great Place!
I was pleasantly surprised. The location was directly across the street from Kuhio Beach. The hotel provides large beach towels check out to guests. The "breakfast on the Beach" is different. The hotel provides insulated bags for guests to fill and take to the beach for breakfast and/or beverages, snacks, etc. You can fill the bags from the breakfast provided in the morning. The food wasn't great but okay. We asked for late checkout (4PM). They gave us the extra hour as a courtesy and then paid $50 for the additional three. Well worth it. Staff and housekeeping were all really nice and helpful. Would stay again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 171Great location and staff
We loved being across the street from a great swimming beach and a short walk to shops and restaurants. The breakfast hula is a relaxing start to the day.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 171Great location, outstanding amenities
I stayed here a few days prior to my son's ship returning from the Middle East and selected the hotel based on other reviews. The room was a typical hotel room, and was clean. The buffet breakfast is a nice feature with the take away bag so you can sit on the beach and enjoy the food. All in all the hotel was well worth the money.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 171Nice room, great bed
We had an ocean view room on the 24th floor so we had a great view of all of Waikiki beach to the west. The hotel is at the eastern end of the beach, across the road from the "Ponds" area of the beach. This is a section of the beach with a wall that provides a protected swimming area. The room is adequate size and the bed is very comfortable. The staff was friendly and courteous. Our room was right next to the rather noisy elevators but we'd visited the blow holes earlier so the elevators, which had a similar sound, didn't keep us awake. The included breakfast was nice but is only served from 6:30 to 8:30 so if you sleep in you have to get breakfast at a nearby restaurant such as the Wolfgang Puck's Express on the ground level.
