Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 90Good place to stay
It was in a good neighborhood with a bunch of nice restaurants and bars within walking distance. Hotel parking was convenient and nicely priced. When I go back to Toronto, I'll check availability at this place first.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 90Not Impressed
It's sad to say this but the Hotel did not match the quality of service of its staff. There seems to be a vast difference between the quality of service and the poor conditions of the rooms. The Lobby was nice and comfortable but small. ROOMS....horrible, squeaky floors, old bathrooms, horrible blankets etc etc. Service was great which is unfortunate that they work in such a terrible facility.

Staff was very helpful each time we had a request. Our suite was clean and comfortable. Will stay there again for sure.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 90Great place, good location
I stayed at the Ramada Plaza Toronto Downtown because it was reasonably priced and in a good central location. It did not disappoint at all. So, if you're looking for a location in Toronto to jump off to go to the CN tower, Roger's Center, Canada's Wonderland, and all the downtown shopping, this is a good selection.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 90Value for money with friendly staff
This hotel is no more than a 10 minute cab ride from the financial district with the friendliest staff I've ever met. From the front office to the host at the restaurant (who doubles up as room service), the staff is very warm and eager to help. The rooms are nice but could use better cleaning (the bathroom looked liked it hadn't been swept) but in all fairness, it was a busy convention week and not a huge deal. The neighbourhood is a bit dodgy, but hey, I'm from DC, so again, not a bug deal. Definitely don't venture further east. All in all, I'd recommend this hotel.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 90far away, lots of prostitutes.
I booked this hotel for an impromptu weekend getaway. Sadly, it was a long walk from downtown and not as centrally located as I had thought...it is even off the map in Fodor's travel guide. The staff seemed indifferent, not particularly welcoming. Only one elevator worked and the one that did was narrow, as were the halls and my junior suite. Most disappointing is that the neighborhood is crawling with prostitutes. One in particular was right outside the hotel main entrance both nights I stayed there. Top that off with ripped sheets, shoddy decor, and a musty scent...it did not seem on-par with other similarly priced hotels. Very disappointing.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 90Needs updating
This hotel is an old building, which could be okay, but it smells old and seems old. Our room was so oderous we had to run the A/C on high when we were there and then it was freezing. The lobby and halls had a strange odor as well. Another guest had the same problem and it made it difficult to relax in our room. The beds were commfortable but the comforters were dirty/stained on the top.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 90Good value
The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and courteous. Our only complaint was with the parking garage which had no elevator and no ramps into the hotel. Consequently, we had to carry our rolling bags down a flight of stairs and then back up another in order to get into the hotel. This was the only negative on an otherwise good experience.
