    We were very impressed and surprised at the quality, service & location of this hotel. We opted for the club-level service which significantly exceed our expectations. The club-level included free access to a fully stocked bar and some really nice food including fresh fruit. Our family regularly ate our meals there and we were able to save a small bundle as a result. It is also very close to Camp Nou, which is the home field of the Barcelona soccer (football) team. Given this, it is not unusual to see star soccer players at the hotel. Indeed, in our case we were actually able to hang with Ibrahamovic at the hotel - who, by the way, is a REALLY nice person.

Location. The high-rise Princesa Sofia Gran Hotel is located in the Diagonal financial district of Barcelona, Spain. The hotel is one block from the Royal Palace and two blocks from Barcelona Football Club's Camp Nou stadium. Gaudi's La Pedrera, the Gothic Quarter and the lively promenades of Las Ramblas are within four kilometres.

Hotel Features. The Princesa Sofia Gran Hotel occupies a modern tower with 19 floors. The marble-floored lobby is decorated with a blue-and-white colour scheme, and has a high ceiling with a chandelier. Guests can relax with complimentary newspapers in one of the lobby's several lounge areas. Concierge staff can provide information on Barcelona attractions and exchange currencies. There are onsite shops and a hair salon.

Contraste restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine in three dining areas. A la carte, buffet and set menu options are available. The ground-floor restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Drinks are on offer in the hotel's indoor bar and poolside bar.
