Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 181Nice Place to Stay
Everything about the hotel was excellent, except for the Lantana Grill restaurant. We ate breakfast there - the service was extremely slow and the food marginal. However, there are other nice restaurants close by, and the poor experience at Lantana Grill by no means spoiled our stay.

The surroundings were great next to the mountains, we had a casita by the pool area. Recommend getting the hotel value pack to mini golf and use fitness center. Float down the lazy river and relax. Resort was close enough to other restaurants and shopping centers

Trip Type: Special Event Review 9 of 181There exists nature.
One cannot escape nature. On our first night we did discover ants in the bed, but the hotel apologized, gave us a new room, a free refrigerator, and a free lunch. The ants wanted food, and I noticed them all over Arizona, not just in the room. Keep your snacks in a cooler and this minor inconvenience will go unnoticed. Again, the hotel handled the situation professionally and rapidly.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 181Somewhat satisfied
I was somewhat satisfied with the stay. However, a few things that I was still not happy about: * Atleast a couple of cockroaches that I found - of which, one made it into my suitcase. * Leaks in the toilet - they did fix it the same day * The room I booked was a casita style two bedroom. I would have preferred if they had the connecting doors opened and not have me walk from two sides. * The casita style is more like an apartment complex - and the group that stayed next door partied late the first night and were causing more noise than necessary. * There were no directions and I ended up getting lost multiple times. Also, a few gates to the pool were locked and we had to walk all the way around.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 181Grreat getaway
Leaving Tucson for a weekend and staying at your hotel was a real treat. We felt like we were on vacation far away. We enjoyed the pools, restaurants and the spa. My facial was one of the best I've had. We will definitely be back.

This hotel certainly exceeded all of our expectations and we were treated like royalty. An incredible deal for the price and we will certainly be back when we are in Phoenix again!

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 181Disappointing Stay
I did not like the location and surrounding neighborhood of the hotel. It was too far from everything. My bigger pet peeves were the lack of restaurants integrated into the hotel property and the fact that the health club closed at 8 pm. There was a single restaurant located in a separate stand-alone building that you had to walk across a large parking lot to access and I didn't like this. What frustrated me even more was the situation with the fitness center. To find a higher-end hotel in 2008 that closes its exercise/fitness facility at 8 pm is just ridiculous and unacceptable for business travelers. Hilton just doesn't seem to get it, as I've experienced the same thing at the NY Hilton and other Hilton locations. This made it impossible for me to use it or work out during my 4 day stay because of my schedule. Marriotts and other competitors seem to understand the market better with 24-hour fitness/exercise facilities.
