Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 376Great location
location at 7th and 55th was perfect for the things we wanted to do. Our room was adequate for 2 adults and a 10 year old. We did not eat at the hotel, but there were many great places to eat nearby. The only complaint is the cost of using internet, minimum of $5.00 to logon

Outstanding location, especially with the subway right there so not only get the premier neighborhood, but ability to move around the city easily at low cost.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 5 of 376Great room for the money
I would rate the entire stay excellent except for the elevators. At times it became almost impossible to get down from or up to the upper floors due to the jammed elevators. Elevator after elevator would have to pass you by due to the overcrowding. Younger people became so disgusted they took to the stairs from the 16th floor. The hotel is beautiful, location is perfect next to Central Park but getting to and from your room took some of the edge off what would have otherwise been a near perfect experience.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 376Decent value, clean and quiet
Rooms with king size beds were a good size. Housekeeping missed a few things but were readily and pleasantly corrected. Elevator waits were long, though. Good location, decent pricing (relative to other hotels), clean and quiet. If you're looking for a special experience (dramatic lobbies, boutique themes, etc.), this isn't the place. Hotel does seem to cater to large groups (e.g., bus tours), but access to the front desk or luggage services was never long.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 8 of 376Perfect for two!
Our Christmas Eve and Christmas night stays at the Park Central New York Hotel were just what we needed! Very comfortable bed, large flat screen tv, recently refurbished modern decor, good shower...just enough space. Location was perfect for us as we were seeing a friend play at Carnegie Hall that evening. Just blocks away from RKO City Music Hall, Rockefellar Center, Time Square, and St. Patrick's Cathedral. Within 41 hours we saw them all plus dinner at the Tavern on the Green! There was a nice Continental breakfast area downstairs if you didn't have time for a big breakfast. And nice restaurants all around. If you need a big room with a great view and lots of amenities....this is not a 5 star hotel. But if you're going to busy (like we were), and looking for a comfortable night's sleep, good shower, (and maybe a nice big flat screen?)...plus the PERFECT location....this is a great hotel for a very reasonable price.

Less than thrilled with the condition of the room, but adequate for the money. Great location, blocks from Central Park and 5th Ave shopping.

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 376Good Hotel - Great location - Needs some Improvement
I stayed at Park Central before and will return because of its location and because it is clean. There were some maintenance issues: the new elevator system worked sporadically, the phone in the room was unreliable (no problem because of cell phones), and the hotel's cable system was inoperable for one day (we watch only the evening news so it was not a real problem). I also found it a bit offensive that there is a charge of $3.75 per bag for storage for a few hours (after checkout). Overall, It is better than the Wellington, which is directly across 7th Ave., but not as good as the Buckingham, which is on the corner of 6th and 57th. However, the location, cleanliness of the rooms and the rates make it a repeat.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 376Disappointing "Superior" Room
Our room was so small we had to walk sideways to get through the 6 inch space between the bed and the TV. We paid TOP dollar for this room which was advertised as "Superior", and for that we got a cramped, dirty room with a view of the side of a building. The drinks were $15 each in the lounge. I would NOT stay here again.
