Needs Improvement

The hotel grounds and surrounding area were very beautiful, but once I got into my room I was very disappointed....The entrance door was split as though it had been kicked in, the door did not close flush with the door jamb....The bathroom door did not secure at all.....The plank flooring was beginning to separate...I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

PERFECT

HAD TWO SINGLE RMS BUT WAS UPGRADED TO A 2 BDRM SUITE FOR FREE I PLAN ON STAYING THERE EVERY TIME I GO BACK TO FLORIDA

This is the place to hang and have a great time!!!!!!

True there are some renovations needed, in which they are in the process of doing; however, the renovations needed are so minor that it doesn't even matter because it does not take away from the splended experience that you will have there. This is the place to be in FT Lauderdale. You must hang at the Tikki bar and get to know all the wonderful people that work there. It's a must. Enjoy!!!! Dee from NY

GREAT LOCATION ON THE BEACH

THIS HOHEL HAS A NICE LOCATION RIGHT ON THE BEACH. HAD A NICE TIKI BAR WITH MUSIC. HOWEVER, THE CONDITION OF OUR ENTRY DOOR DID NOT LEAVE US WITH A SECURE FEELING OF SAFTY. THEY ALSO TELL YOU TO PARK ACROSSED THE STREET, AND WHEN YOU DO THEY TELL YOU YOU CAN NOT PARK THERE. SO, YOU GIVE UP AND USE THE VALET SERVICE WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO BE FREE FOR HOTEL GUEST BUT THEY MAKE YOU PAY A $5 FEE.

"Good Hotel/Room...Subpar Service"

Cons: The hotel was very far down Ocean Drive and extremely far away from downtown Fort Lauderdale. The check in was terrible as the hotel associate constantly answered phones and charged an extra mandatory "Resort Fee" upon arrival. We arrived several hours early and the hotel associate would not budge with the check in time claiming "no rooms were ready". We had to sit in the lobby and on the beach for several hours. Pros: The Hotel and Room were very clean. Due to their incompetence, the Hotel Associates gave us a better room than we paid for, which really made our stay pleasant. The resort and beach located behind the hotel were great. The pool was well kept as well. Overall: I would recommend staying in this hotel if you are looking for a cheap one night stay. Otherwise, I would recommend staying somewhere closer to downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Wouldn't stay there again.

Heat didn't work in the hotel and fan only blew at high. Hotel said they would change my room but when I went to see other room the moment I walked in I killed two bugs on the floor and there was a cigarette discarded on the floor with ashes. Thought I had better stay in the cold room w/out the bugs. Pool area was nice and well kept. It is an older hotel they have tried to update but looks like a do it yourself job. Beds were old box spring mattresses and I could feel the spring. I would pay the extra money next time and stay somewhere else. Hotel has seen it's best days in the past.

You get what you pay for

It's an old hotel that is in the process of revamping it still has a long way to go. Some of the rooms are condo units owned by someone. The employees were all very nice and helpful.However I believe it was the president of the hotel or condo association who was quite loud and rude to the employees who were all doing a great job seems he was on a power trip.

Good Bargain for the buck

The hotel and rooms are a little tired, but when considering the location and condition of this hotel I would recomend this as good place to stay. The staff is very friendly and the location can't be beat. The valet parking is a bargain for guests but it should be mentioned to avoid surprise. I have stayed here before and will likely stay again provided I get the good pricing I have received thus far. I have stayed in less appealing hotels for higher prices without the spectacular locale.

no good manner on the receptiion

everything was fine the only concerning was the people you have in the reception. (front desk) they need to take a course on human relations they are too cool to help people on their reservation or anything there were 2 guys terrible. that was the only complain the rest ok. the hotel was great room for the money and very clean inside we loves it.
