Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 85Great Hotel
Great location near Boston commons, lots of great shopping and restaurants. The interior is very well designed, modern, but not cold, in fact quite warm; our room was done in black and tan may sound crazy but it really worked. Staff was super nice, beds were comfy, room and halls were clean, even the free wine at Happy Hour was pretty good. Ok there is one thing wrong, there is no coffee maker in the room (but there was a nice 1/2 bottle of Wild Horse Pino in the mini-bar). If you call the front desk they will send an easy to use one-cup-at-a-time pod coffee maker to your room. Enjoy your stay, we sure did.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 85Good value in excellent location for getting about
The staff is very friendly. The location is hard to beat for getting around Boston, because the Park St. T station is about 2 1/2 minutes away. Tremont St itself is not much to look at or wander along. The price was excellent The only problem we experienced was failure, 2 days out of three, to get us the promised newspaper.

This is a "botique" hotel with very stylish appointments and plenty of comfort. The staff was trained to serve a higher end clientelle. It was a very pleasant surprise overall.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 85wonderful location
The location was great. I took the train from the airport only walked a block to the hotel. You don't have to walk far to get some great site seeing. I would stay here again no question.

Paper-thin walls, could hear the conversations in the next room word-for-word. Amenities are standard at best (gym, meeting areas); room service was fast, but food was decidely sub-par (e.g., fruit not even close to being ripe, therefore quite bitter), restaurant is excellent but its predecessor was better. The clientele was decidely frat-boy. None of this is a deal breaker, unless you are concerned with price. At the rack rate, I'd say the value isn't there. Good news, they are throwing around the discounts. Budget is probably not your issue in the first place, though.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 85Disappointing
Its all well and good that they accept dogs. Didn't know until we checked in that they charged an extra $38/day to park! Breakfast for two in the room was $62. If that wasnt bad enough, orderr was wrong and eggs were cold. At these prices the guest computers should be free, not $5.95 for fifteen minutes. The hotel bar was elegant but the music was loud and with a a $50 bar bill for 3 drinks, we ran. I would avoid this hotel if not on an expense account

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 85Great stay in a great location
The Nine Zero is a great Boston hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff is outstanding. The rooms are extremely clean and nightly turndown service was a plus. The only negatives? Room service was a little too slow when we requested a couple forks from the front desk to eat our take out desserts....we eventually just called back and cancelled the request. Also, the hotel is a little too focused on selling you things - from the plush robes hanging in the closet (normal), to the slipper socks, full size versions of toiletries, music CDs, martini mixes and pajamas? (very abnormal). Since those were the only drawbacks and the second one was easilt overcome by ignoring the items for sale, the hotel was overall outstanding and a great place to stay - so convenient to everything to see in Boston.
