Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 13Needs Improvement in Staff
I love this hotel, always have, however in my recent stay it took an hour to check into my hotel. AND IT WAS CHRISTMAS NIGHT! I arrived at 9:45pm after booking on hotels.com 2 hours prior and didn't get into my room till 11pm. The staff was terrible, their people that handle online bookings apparently went home and no one was checking her emails, so my reservation never made it to them. I had to trouble shoot it myself before they would even let me in a room. So I just paid for another room and finally went to my room and finished trouble shooting. They didn't even upgrade me or appologize or try to go out of their way to help get me into THEIR HOTEL. Once they found out it was their fault they waited to the next day to call and finally appologized and told me they were giving me a free room next time. What a shitty stay. It made it look bad for hotels.com and for the Mondrian on having such a bad process. I'm not sure when I'll be booking next.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 13Super Noisy
I thought this hotel was nice choice until it came time to go to sleep. Though I was on 6th floor, the very loud party down at the pool went on nightly until 2 am. This hotel is fine if you like staying inside a night club... nice staff but wouldn't stay there again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 13Some Glitches
There is a lot to be said for this hotel especially when you are looking for something trendy etc. The look is great and our night at ADCB and Skybar was fun. (Waitress at ADCB was very sweet). The negative part to our stay was that when we arrived there was no hote water or water pressure, there is a constant ringing from the AC and I have a bill from the minibar for stuff I did not purchase that has not been taken care of as of now.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 5 of 13Great hotel overall
There were a few things the hotel needs to work on as they have recently completed a remodel the rooms are exellent and the location is great. The water pressure in the shower was low and was a problem during our stay and the maintenance staff was very loud as my girlfriend was recovering from a long birthday night in NY the night before but the hotel upgraded us due to the lack of occupancy and we had a pretty good stay. I would recommend this hotel and will stay again.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 13Beautiful views- horrible bar service for sky high prices
I have partied at the Sky Bar before (altough I can barely remember that night) but this time I was a guest. I got a great rate but you really pay big time for everything else. It's $20 a drink at Sky Bar, $18 for one glass of wine delivered to the room, $23 for a split of grocery store wine. For 3 days I couldn't get the cocktail server to even come my way (I am a nice looking sweet girl- so I just don't get it). Plus be very watchful of the snacks in the room- one day some of my snacks were missing (I didn't eat them) and they charged my room $23 for lotion-- believe me it didn't make sense. They did remove the charges easily and promplty, but it was still shady. The room is ultra cool though. Not the fluffy type of bed like some of the other hotels.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 13Small room for the price but you pay for the cool scene
The rooms were small for the price, but service was great. If you're a young person and like the party scene Skybar is one of the hottest places and as a guest you get free access. Skybar has an indoor area with VIP tables and is kinda small, but the outside part is by the pool and is well decorated with candle lights in hurricane lamps. If your familiar with the South Beach scene in Miami this is similar to the skybar at the Shore Club. In fact is the same hotel group. I met another guest who was a well-off recurring patron who apprently stays there for the night just for the club.

Great Room...GREAT service....this is why I stay there!!!!! My only complaint is that I was not able to get in touch w/ the concierge service prior to my arrival. Other than that...fabulous!

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 11 of 13Outstanding Hotel
I was very scared to stay at this hotel after I made reservations because of what people wrote about it. But I turn out great. The staff is very helpful, they just remolded the hotel so everything is brand new! It’s in the middle of sunset so everything is very close. But since its sunset if you have kids don’t come here its more of an adult atmosphere especially with the sky bar they won’t sleep at night with the music blasting. Overall I wish I would have stayed more nights, when I come back to LA I was defiantly stay here!!!
