Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 1705Disappointment
I was traveling with a friend with whom I was sharing the room. But I was not sharing a bed with him. Therefore I had asked for a non-smoking room with two twin beds. I called the day before to confirm that I would get this. When I wnet to check in I was given the choice between a smoking room with two twin beds or a non-smoking room with one queen-sized bed.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 1705great location at a great price!
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. The room was small but very comfortable, clean, quiet and warm (I was there in January). I was also especially impressed with the exercise room - a good variety of workout machines that were in great shape, plus weight machines, free weights, a water cooler - it was great - at no additional charge. The location of this hotel is great, too. I would definitely stay here again!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 1705Dissappointing
Could not get the heat to regulate and it was at least 100 degrees in this room. Couple that with the noise from the heating system that we were apparently next too, it was just not an enjoyable stay over. I also thought I was getting a king size bed and ended up with a full size.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 1705Great place, great location
I enjoyed my stay here. The rates were very reasonable, the small rooms are very small but comfortable and clean. We even had a view of Times Square. You could say the rooms are a bit dated but a lot of these hotels are historic. I think it shows how classic New York really is. Great place.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 1705Great Location and Fantastic View from my room
I took my son to NYC for his 19th B.D. We loved the location of the Milford and the view from our room was fabulous! It doesn't always work like that but this time we had a great view! The location can't be beat and I always feel very safe at Milford.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 1705Good location, crummy rooms
The hotel was in walking distance to Times Square and the Theatre District. The room was very small. Every time the heat kicked on it sounded like some kind of animal was trying to smash out of it. The bathroom was tiny. I couldn't sit straight on the toilet without hitting my knees, I'm only 5'11". The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The room looked like it hadn't been updated since the 80's. The only plus was the location.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 1705Good Hotel
Except for a few strands of hair in the sink and tub, I don't have complaints. The hotel is in good condition and my room had its own bathroom and was comfortable. I was in the theatre district/near Time Square and next to a bunch of subway stations and restaurants. The price was very decent.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 1705Good Room for the Money
Location of the hotel was outstanding. Easy walking distance from a lot of the sights and restaurants. Room was a little small, but not uncomfortable. Would be nice to have coffee pot in the room so you do not have to get dressed to go downstairs to get that first cup of coffee in the morning. Hotel staff was very friendly and very accomodating. Will stay there again if the need arises. Would recommend to people I know going to NYC.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 1705Milford Plaza
Though the location of the hotel is ideal for theatre going and the hotels.com price was great, the hotel itself did not measure up. I requested a non-smoking room, but the room I was given reeked of stale cigarettes and had a huge greasy stain on the bedspread. I was moved to another room, bigger, brighter, and clean. However, the internet connection in the room did not work. The hotel boasted that ll rooms had free wired hi-speed internet and wireless for a fee. There was no ethernet port in the room and after an hour and a half on the phone with their IT helpline, the wireless still would not connect. When I asked at the front desk I was told my room did not have internet capability and they could transfer me to another room the next day. That room only had wired access, which it turned out also did not work. As I travel with my laptop and need computer access, this was frustrating. The service also did not work in the lobby. I was given a pass to the "elite guest" lounge where computers were available, but many sites and even some of my emails were blocked. On top of this, the security at the hotel was the most over the top of any hotel I have ever stayed in. Guests had to show room keys to even approach the elevators and friends of guests were questioned. Security regularly questioned guests in the elite lounge, asking for names, room numbers, check-in and check-out dates. Security was aggressive and intrusive. I will not stay at this hotel again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 1705Great but needs a bit of improvement
the first room was filthy.. it actually had pubicle hair in the bathtub, we go downstairs, and we were advanced to a better room, then were switched to another room the next day and that room was perfect.. bathroom was clean, great view.. heater worked.. nobody bothered us.. the quality of the room was great, old t.v. very old, bed was good, i recommend this hotel, you get what you pay for, i walked a block away and we were smack in the times square. old hotel, needs work, but great service.
