Excellent hotel and great service. Just that everything costs so much such as internet connections in rooms, parking, and food. The frig is filled with their products so hard to put own food in.

Always a classic

A very dependable and enjoyable stay. It has a very nice workout room, decent pool and a great location in front of Santa Monica beach.

A good choice at a discounted price

At the heavily discounted price we received through hotels.com, this was a good value. But at the rack rate, it would have been overpriced. The location is great (a short block from the beach), and the lobby atrium is impressive. Our room was quiet, but it was also dark and lacked any view. The bathroom needed remodeling, and it cried out for cleaning. I don't know where the four stars came from, but it's a solid three-star place if you can get a three-star price.

Really nice place to stay

Terrific hotel. the rooms are great and it's pretty centrally located to a bunch of different spots in Santa Monica. I would definitely stay there again.

Needs improvement

1. half hour to check in 2. hard uncomfortable beds, but nice sheets 3. 70 plastic lounge chairs at pool for 340 rooms or about 500 guests, in august, not acceptable. unless you came down at 8 am and put personal items on a lounge chair you were out of luck to get a chair. 4. overpriced food, not very good 5. understaffed bar, slow service 6. slow draining sinks and bath 7. hot water in shower alternated between hot and cold 8. $30 a day for parking, come on! but attendants were very nice and professional

This visit not worth the money.

Good location except room facing the street can be a little noisy. We also heard children running up and down the hall more than once. Crowded around the pool and restaurant was very expensive. One day we could not get any hot water around 10 am. My daughter had to take a cold shower and we didn't have time to complain. We heard rumblings that we weren't the only ones. Should not happen for a hotel of the caliber and price.

Outstanding, no need to rent a car- walk to everything

So much to do, so much to see. The pier close by is clean and we took so many beautiful pictures especially at sunset. Renting bikes right down from the hotel and bikeriding along the walk to Venice beach and then coming back and heading to Malibu. It was our honeymoon and we plan on coming back for our 1 year anniversary.
