Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 198Cheap option
We got a fantastic deal for this hotel over New Years. For the price it was amazing and within walking distance of the French Quarter and the river.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 198Nice but Bad Location
The hotel itself we liked-- once we got into it. The surrounding area is not somewhere I would feel safe at. Also, they did not have parking available (their lot was full) so we had to walk a few blocks to the nearest parking structure. Once you get into the hotel its very nice.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 198Not bad... but not great
Front desk staff was hit or miss. I had a problem with the wireless internet in my room. One front desk staff member told me that I was "welcome to bring my laptop down to the lobby". I pointed out that internet access was advertised as a room amenity rather then a hotel amenity. It was only after I complained to another person working the front desk that I was offered a new room with working internet access. Decent AM breakfast, nothing special. My room had a mini-fridge and a microwave, which was a nice touch.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 7 of 198Dirty underwear
My overall take on the hotel was average. Someone left their dirty underwear under the bed. At check in we told the security guard we wanted to come and go as we pleased. He said that's fine. When it was time for us to leave we had to wait outside in the cold for the security guard to open the gate on more that 3 occasion. He is not very fast on his feet. To our surprise there was also a $15 per night parking in an outdoor gated area. The locations is great, just a few minutes to The French Quarters and the Superdome. Everything is within walking distance.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 198Great Economic Value
This is my second time staying at this hotel as I visited New Orleans. The room was very clean and roomy. I received an excellent rate and the service was attentive. The surrounding neighborhood may give you some caution about staying there, but the hotel does have locked lobby doors and a security guard and gated parking. It is directly within walking distance of downtown hotspots and offers a quick cab ride to local attractions.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 198Not the best , but you could do a lot worse
This hotel is very affordable when compared to some of the other hotels in the FQ. you need to take into consideration what the parking costs will be per night. Average is $20-$40/night! This hotel only charges $14 for reserved in/out parking or you can park in the hospital immediately behind the hotel. I think a lot of people get turned off by the surrounding neighborhood because is is not neccessarilly in the best of areas, but you don't have to walk through any sideroads to get to the FQ. You just walk straight down Canal St, which is very open and busy and there are constantly police and security patrolling the area. The rooms are very nice with 2 TV's and a separate living room and bedroom. Microwave, fridge and sink are also a big plus. The only negative I had about this place is that it is obvioulsy in a state of constant renovation and some of the fixtures and locks, etc. tended to break down. The employees I dealt with were very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 198Close to the French Quarter
This was a great hotel! It's located on Canal Street just a few blocks from the French Quarter, so access to the shops and restaurants are very convenient. The hotel is not too many blocks from the St. Charles streetcar line if you want to take a tour through the beautiful Garden District. I was very pleased with the quality of the room. It was a suite, so I had a king-size bed in one room and living quarters in another. The hotel had been recently renovated, and it was nice and comfortable. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay in this hotel again!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 198Good hotel. Would stay again.
Went with friends for a concert and a night on the town. The Lexington Hotel O was convenient walking distance to the Arena and the French Quarter, a long walk from Cafe Du Monde but had a trolley stop right out of the front door. Parking wasn't in a garage but it was on the same side of the street in a fenced lot and it was the cheapest on-site parking we could find; the lot could use more lighting. the Hotel O has been remodeled recently and they did an acceptable job; there wasn't too much attention to detail, though. As other guests have said, the sign is very small and hard to read while driving by; it's just a temporary sign but I take it that it's been there for a while. The front desk was helpful, courteous and efficient. The neighborhood is OK; not unsafe, but not upscale by any means. Rooms were clean but some items needed repair; ceiling fans did not work but lights did, A/C fan worked but couldn't tell if cool air ever came out; good thing it was fall time. Over all it was a nice hotel that our whole group would stay at again.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 198Good Value
The room and bed were small, but nice and cozy. Beware, if you are booking the Euro Queen, it is more of a full size bed...it was tight with 2 adults. We liked that they provided organic bath products and coffee in the room. The continental breakfast is store bought breakfast pastries, cereal, canned fruit, and make your own waffles. The only trouble we had was with the night guest attendant, who was rather rude, but the lady in the morning was very nice. Parking in their parking lot is $14, but they do not lock the doors, and they also state that they are not liable for any damage to your car, or goods stolen from your vehicle. You can find cheaper parking a few blocks up for $5, but it may not be totally safe at night. But for the price, this is a good value and a convenient location to the French Quarter and surrounding sights.
