The hotel was nice with a beautiful room. The food was subpar. We asked specific questions about the Buffalo wings and they came exactly opposite of what we were told. Breakfast was good however, they poured juice and coffee without asking and we were charged for both beverages and fruit cups we did not order. It was a nice hotel other than these issues.

Great room and location

For the price we paid it was great!! We had a corner room with a little balcony. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Great location with easy walks to union square, wharf, China town, etc.

Nice hotel but billing error

This was our second stay at this hotel. It's in excellent condition and in a convenient location for walking everywhere or taking public transit. On checking out this time there was an erroneous charge for parking. We hadn't used the garage for anything; we had no car with us. The front desk told us we had to talk to the parking valet outside about this. We explained the error to him and he took down our information but 3 days later the charge showed up anyway on my credit card account.

amazing!

This hotel far exceeded our expectations. The service was superior, and the bed was very comfortable. It was close enough to the city, but not right in the middle of the noise. Well worth the money!

Definitely worth it!

Our stay @ Le Meridien was just perfect! Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Our view was better than expected and the staff could not have been more helpful or polite. The hotel does not have pool or jacuzzi facilities and we were disappointd by that, but it didn't deter from our wonderful stay. The holiday decorations added to the warmth and loveliness of this hotel.

I booked this hotel online on a Sunday morning and checked in that afternoon. I received a terrific rate and was give a top-floor(24th) king-bedded room. It was fabulous. I would return in a moment.

Outstanding Hotel

This is an excellent hotel. Our room was fantastic - spacious, nicely decorated and extremely comfortable. The staff was helpful and courteous. It had an excellent location, central to downtown S.F. and close to all the bay area transportation (BART, MUNI, Trolley Cars, etc.) you could need. Highly reccommend.

Great for SF, for the money, for the comfort level

We were overall very pleased with the room we received, and the only thing we would have done differently is asked to move after discovering, the first night, that we were next to some service area that was very noisy all night. Judging by the friendliness of the concierge and lobby staff, I think they would have tried to help.

Parking

While the hotel was excellent on every score...think twice about staying with your car. They charge 49 per day and then there is tax of 6 dollars. If you have the time, consider staying further out and take BART. Overall you will save money. On the other hand, you will be staying at a stinky Motel XYZ in the boonies and miss the energy of the downtown and a lovely hotel.
