Great hotel and pool

Outstanding hotel for family vacations.

Decent for the price, but could be better!

My wife and I were looking into a place that had three bedrooms, to accomedate us and our three children. When we came across the Lake Buena Vista Resort on the internet, the pictures looked nice and the price was very fair. When we arrived to the location, our room was ready when promised and the lcoation of the resort was right next to an outlet shopping center. It was literally walking distance from the resort which was an added bonus if you like to go shopping. However, upon entering our room, we found the furniture and accomedations to be somewhat dated. The upside to this suite was that it had a washer and drying. If you travel with children you totally understand where I'm coming from. We were able to wash the kids clothes and cut down on our luggages. With that being said, please note that this resort only comes with one set of sheets for each bed and a set of towels for about 5 people. If you plan on staying longer than 4-5 days, you may want to wash the sheets and towls since the resort does not have daily room service. You can request for your room to be cleaned, but at a fee. i can't remember the fee, but whatever it was, it was too expensive so we washed them ourselves. For the money, I thought it was fair, but I have stayed at better places with comperable pricing. Location to the Disney Parks were excellent as we were able to get their from the resort within 10 minutes time. If you are just using the room for a place to sleep and spending most of your time at the amusement parks, then this is a place for you. Remember to buy detergent for the washer as the hotel did not provide us with any. Their is a nearby Wal-Mart just a block down from this resort which was a real bonus.

Great room for the money

My entire family enjoyed the hotel.The rooms were clean, spacious, and furnishings very comfortable.The pool was a big hit as well, with a very friendly staff.Would deffinetly use this hotel again.

Swimming pool

We loved the swimming pools, especially the one with the slide, also loved the hot tubs. Nice place, kind staff, would have liked to stay longer and checked out the spa part.

Best Place to Stay in Orlando

This is the BEST place to stay in Orlando. You are literally a mile away from the entrance to Disney and others. The rooms are HUGE. They are new and VERY clean. The hot tub in the master bedroom is awesome. The huge shower is perfect. The balcony is relaxing both at night and in the morning while having breakfast. The pool is huge without worries of being crowded. I have stayed here three times and every time I say I'll never stay anywhere else while in Orlando. I find myself wanting to spend plenty of time in the room even though I'm there to go to the theme parks. The WORSE part of this place is the staff. The front desk staff is overall TERRIBLE. They really are not that friendly and really don't care to help you. And if you can get them to answer the phone, you have achieved a great feat. I feel if you go there knowing this, you won't be let down.

Construction

We had 3 issues with the hotel. Two were minor and one to me personally was major-Minor- ceiling fan and light were on one wall switch, and cords from the fixture were not long enough to reach without standing on a chair. We thought we were going to have 2 balconys- The major to us was that since there was no divider between rooms and baths, we could hear all plumbing running in rooms above us, whenever it was used, and it was loud!!

Great Hotel

The hotel was great, the only downside to the stay was the lack of pots and pans. If you are planning to use the kitchen you may need to bring your own cookware. Other than that the hotel was good and the price was reasonable. We would stay there again.

Bit far from the atractions

The rooms were spacious and comfortable with a great tub and shower but it was a bit far from the theme parks and was tricky to get to and from. Also they only have one shuttle if you don't have your own car.

Will stay again

We love this hotel! We frequent the Orlando area, often, and have stayed in a number of different types of hotels. This hotel was one of the best! It was clean, comfortable, quiet, near shopping and easy access to parks, etc. The pool was AWESOME! Best kept secret in the area! The only drawback is if you want housekeeping, you have to pay for it. Looking at the big picture, this is a minor concern.

Best Resort & Close to Disney

What a great resort! We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite with our 2 year old daughter for 2 nights in December. While we didnt use the pool because it was too cold outside (we are true Floridians! lol) the little one LOVED the fact that they had a pirate ship for in the kids pool! The rooms was absolutly immaculate! We had the master suite, with the huge jetted tub (which she used instead of the pool!) and the baby had her own room with the two double beds and her very own bathroom. She was thrilled! The staff was wonderful. The spa, while we didnt get to use it, had great prices, not too pricey at all. Compared to other resorts in the area, that are only a regular room, this resort is a GREAT value! It's literally less then 2 miles from Disney and there are so many dining and shopping options close by! Needless to say, we LOVED it and will DEFINITLY be returning when we go back to Disney!
