Overall the hotel was okay. But there were a few problems. 1) Room service isn't 24 hours, it ends at around 9 pm. So if you get hungry after that time, you have to go out to get food. 2) The carpet was pretty dirty. It seemed like it had never been shampooed since it was installed. 3) There was absolutely no water pressure in the shower. A shower that normally takes me 5 minutes took over 15 minutes, because the water flow wasn't enough to get the shampoo and soap out. 4) An emergency alarm went off at 7 am. A recorded announcement was made that we need to proceed to the lobby, using the stairs. Once we got down there, the staff told us that the alarm was an accident. So we went back up. I dozed off and 30 minutes later the same thing happened. This time most people stayed in their rooms. After this, I went back to sleep. And 30 minutes later an announcement came over the speakers that "we apologize for the inconvenience, those alarms went off accidently". Now this wouldn't have been a problem during the middle of the day or evening. But after a long night on Bourbon St., nobody wants to be woken up so early. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and helpful. If prices are comparable, I'd recommend staying elsewhere.

New Orleans is the best city I've visited. Everyone there is beyond generous. We ended up staying two extra days because we just didn't want to leave. Hotel le Cirque's room rate convinced us to stay. True, it is right on the edge of the arts district and the French Quarter, but it's within walking distance to nearly everything (except maybe the zoo and the stadium, but i guess you could take the trolley or a cab). The entire hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The front deak staff were very helpful with local restaurant recommendations. The cleaning staff replenished our room everyday, even though we didn't even leave our room until after noon on most days (and 2pm on one day). I'm honestly not sure if this hotel is "the best," but I'm confident that you will not be disappointed, especially for the price. But, be warned, unless you can shell out the cash for valet parking for everyday in this economy, just park behind the hotel. It's about $13 or $13.50/24 hrs instead of the over $30 valet/$20 self-parking. Seriously though, I studied all the other hotels online for months before I booked this hotel, and I'm satisfied that I got what I wanted and for the price that I paid. And just to let you know...do not get a inward facing room, because people can see EVERYTHING.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 217Great Hotel
The hotel was about a 20 minute walk from the French Quarters and only a couple of feet from one of the cable car stops. The hotel staff were very helpful and willing to take action; the woman at the front desk greeted us, checked us in, and booked a tour for us in a matter of minutes. I would return to this hotel again. The room was small but overall, the hotel was great.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 217Great place to stay
The Cirque was a very nice place to stay in New Orleans. The pictures were the initial eye catcher and they didn't lie. The lobby and bar were very well kept and elegant chic. The staff was friendly and super helpful about pretty much all aspects of the city. The room was clean and tastefully decorated. It was smaller than I expected but suited our needs well. Parking was better than expected, curbside half a block away was free. The location was an easy walk to canal and then bourbon. Overall a good experience at the Cirque.

Room was very small and DID NOT have a bath tub, only a shower, I checked in with 2 small children, they should have had the common sense to get me a room with a tub. I was not satisfied at all and do not recommend this hotel.

It seemed a little dingy. The towels seemed thin and well used. The price I paid was worth it,I suppose

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 217Outstanding Hotel
This was hands down one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. The rooms were clean, the hotel was in a decent neighborhood for New Orleans, and more importantly, the staff went above and beyond for their customers. I will always stay at this hotel from now on when I travel to New Orleans.
