Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 334Great Location
I traveled with my teenage son and senior citizen parents. The location was great ... New Orleans is a terrific walking city and we were close to nearly everything. Canal St . is only two blocks from hotel, with streetcar access to French Market in one direction and to the cemeteries in the other direction. St. Charles was only two blocks away, with streetcar access to Riverbend and Audobon Park. We were within easy walking distance to Mr. B's Bistro on Royal, Cafe Adeleide and Mother's on Poydras. Jackson Square was only 10 blocks, a nice walk for my son and I (cab ride for my parents). We were also close to Aquarium of the Americas, Insectarium, Harrah's casino, Riverwalk. Hotel swimming pool was too small but courtyard was very nice.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 334Room Size is Optical Illusion
We just went down to New Orleans for New Years'. Overall our stay wasn't bad, but the room was very, well, "cozy". The service was for the most part friendly. For a hotel in that area, everything inside was reasonable in price. But a heads up at check out time: If you have a car in valet, call them an hour early during holiday time. They said 15-20 minutes...we waited almost an hour and a half!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 334Great room for the money
I was satisfied with the staff and the hotel interior and cleaness. One disadvantage was the parking. There was no free parking place except for vallet parking ($25). So, I used a private parking $15/day near the hotel. By walking, we could visit french quater easily.

Great staff, comfortable bed, clean. As good as it gets unless you pay another $200 a night.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 334Nice place
This hotel was nice for the price. It had some really nice qualities that we were looking for--- a non-shady location, close to the French Quarter, a work-out room (no free weights though), and a pretty decent continental breakfast. The waffle maker was really nice. The service was nothing special at the front desk, but the dude working the breakfast was VERY nice. The free fresh cookies up at the front desk were nice too. The front desk people never went out of the way to help us though, maybe if we didn't something they would have. The rooms are nice rooms, kinda small, but it works. The heat worked good.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 334What Happens In New Orleans, Stays In New Orleans!
From The Minute We Entered The Hotel It was Beautiful, There was a Reception Desk with three friendly employees ready to help us. We Got our Room "Smoking" even though there was a wonderful back patio by the foutain with gorgeous views. Our room was nice it had a downtown city view, and clean bathrooms (Can't stand a dirty bathroom)Our Hotel location was right on Magazine Street less than a half a mile walk to Decatur st. and the Mississippi Riverfront. Beautiful buildings surround the whole area and great food on every corner. I Would recommend this Hotel to any visitors of Downtown New Orleans The Price, the View, the People... Were Perfect!

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 334Great value, but choose room carefully
The room on level 2 was uncomfortable; we could clearly hear people talking in the other room, a dump truck came in at 3:30pm and the pillows were huge and uncomfortable. we had a miserable 2 nights of sleep. The complimentary breakfast was the very lavish and worth it. Parking is available a block away for half the price of valet, if you are going to park and walk to the french quarter during your stay. Left the hotel with mixed feelings about our stay - i think we got a 'lemon' of a room.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 334Not bad!
It was actually better than i was expecting. We had a room on the 1st floor which is obviously below grade of the parking lot next door. When we opened the window we were literally staring at the license plate of the truck parked up against the window. I called front desk and they moved us to a 4th floor room with a nice view of the pool. Not by any means a 5 star hotel but definitely worth the price we paid considering we wanted both access to the French Quarter and walking distance to Harrahs casino and to the Superdome. Not a bad walk either way. I would definitely stay there again!

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 334Wow
This hotel was absolutley beautiful. It packed tons of "N'awlins" charm. It was very conveniently located to the riverfront, Harrah's, the Aqaurium and street car stops. It was only a couple blocks walk to the french quarter. The staff, especially the concierge, went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasent. We arrived after 2am and had such a warm welcome. They got us checked in and helped us get our three sleeping children to our room and settled in. We will stay again and agian!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 334Great Location, Nice Clean Hotel
The only problem that I encountered was that the type of rooms that I booked were not available! This posed as a great problem because 3 big manly guys with just one king bed was just not a good fit! Other than that it was a nice clean hotel in a great location.
