Continental Downtown Bayside - Port of Miami

Needs a lot of upgrades

The hotel looks like its from the 1940's and hasn't been changed much since. If you just need a place to lay your head then it works but if you are looking for quality I would not recommend this.

Needs Improvement

Didn't like the room the walls & bathroom were dirty and the cleanness of the roon was very poor.

Owner Should Be Embarrassed

The owner of this hotel should be embarrassed! The Continental ownership needs to re-do the carpet, they need to get new furniture, new televisions, draps, and they might want to try painting and cleaning a bit more as well. If I owned this hotel, I'd be embarrassed for anyone to see it. I hope that they will take some money to start renovating each floor as they can.

CONVENIENT

WE WERE GOING ON A CRIUSE THE NEXT DAY, THE HOTEL IS VERY CONVENIENT TO THE PORT AND OTHER SHOPPING AREAS, GETTING A CAB WAS VERY EASY AS WELL.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. The room has a bad aspect, like it’s dirty. Probably there are better hotels for the same price.

Needs Improvement

The room wasn't clean walls dirty, no glasses or towels in room.No soap. Linen was old with holes in sheets. Blankets was old and dirty. Hole was in bathroom door.It is not worth the money it cost me. i am very disappointed.Someone should inspect this hotel before you send anyone there. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Service was very poor.

"Needs alot of improvements"

The lobby is beautiful, but the rooms are very old and the paint needs an update. We recieved no wash cloths or glasses, as they told us they do not supply them.We have stayed here before and like the convience of be3ing across the street from the Port of Miami and the Bayside Shopping. We probably will stay again, just for that convience.

Could Have Been Better

I asked for an extra pillow.... there are none... The Hotel has a restaurant that never opened. There is no room service as advertised. Oh well... next time I'll stay elsewhere.

Continnental Hotel Review

This is an old hotel, it was not up to date. The room walls was very filthy, as well as the sheets on the bed. The room was extremely cold. However, if you can get pass this, it is very convenient to the port. The bell man was very polite and nice.

Horrible Place

I booked this hotel since I had a cruise the next day. I arrived late in the evening. Room was dirty, trashed, TV didn't work well, several lamp lights needed replacement, walls scuffed and filthy, bathroom filthy, carpets stained. Front desk staff didn't care and said "you can go someplace else if you want but you must vacate room immediately." I found out I was charged twice the amount that other people staying there were charged. Hotel was not willing to offer any credit towards room.

What's with this Hotel !

The room was not maintained, the walls were very cuffed & dirty in need of paint, fresh towels never came and we were there for 3 days, we would go to desk and have to ask for them. There were 2 glass glasses in the room, no more ever came, we requested an iron and ironing board and one was brought and it was in need of being thrown away. The thing that really amazed me was there were no vending machines anywhere in the motel I even called the desk and ask if they had any bottled water and was told no, so I would have to go back out and get it else where. I travel a good bit and this was by far one of the worse hotels I have stayed in.
