Hotel just "OK"

The staff was nice and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Conveniently located with access to all major highways in Philadelphia as well as the downtown area. Down sides were that the rooms on the highway side are extremely noisy and there is parking fee of $22 a day that was not listed in the hotel information.

great location, super shuttle service

AFTER READING OTHER REVIEWS, I WAS A LITTLE WORRIED. WE FOUND THE HOTEL TO VERY CONVENIENT TO THE DOWNTOWN AREA. WE DID HAVE A CAR, BECAUSE WE WERE GOING OTHER PLACES, WHICH MEANT WE DID PAY THE 25.00 A DAY PARKING. WE USED THE CAR SOME, BUT FOUND THE FREE SHUTTLE TO BE VERY CONVENIENT AND COOPERATIVE. OUR ROOM WAS SPACIOUS AND OVERLOOKED THE DELAWARE RIVER AND THE FRANKLIN BRIDGE.

Surprise Parking Fee

Maybe this is common knowledge to some people, but I didn't know that I would have to pay $22 to park in the hotel parking lot. Seemed a little steep for a hotel I was already paying for... Otherwise, this hotel was satisfactory. The room was clean, although missing extra blankets and stuff (probably could have called room service if we needed them). The location is pretty good, you can easily walk into Old City or the surrounding neighborhoods. Parking fee aside, I was able to get the room for $85, which includes a continental breakfast.

good room for the money

was not as close to attractions as I had originally thought, but overall for the cost it was a decent room.

courtesy shuttle

My only complaint was that the courtesy shuttle wasn't running on the one day I really needed (maybe the driver took the day off or something). When it runs, the shuttle doesn't run all day: only the morning and late afternoon/evening. The shuttle was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel over other downtown hotels, but it turned out that I didn't use it. Walked or rode the subway instead.

great for the money

It was pretty good overall, beds were a good size and there was a nice lobby. The rooms were pretty much standard. The only two bad things are it's location and the fact that there's no pool. It's only a mile from downtown, but if you want to walk, you need 15 minutes.

Highway could be a problem

Hotel is in a great area walkable to Independence Mall but it is right next to 95 so it can be a noisy - maybe recommend a room that faces the river, not the highway.
