Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 127Beautiful Hotel - less than great service
We checked in about 6 p.m. on a Friday evening. We dropped our bags in the room (which was beautiful) and went to dinner. We returned late and exhausted from our long day of work and travel, finally got to bed. One side of the bed was literally leaning. It wasn't something that you noticed just looking at the bed with all the linens and pillows on it but when you actually went to lie down to go to sleep - no way. You would have had an easier time sleeping on a roof! So we called the desk and explained the problem. They told us that they had no other rooms available but my husband was firm and they relented and moved us to a "larger and better" room. We had to get dressed and re-pack everything quite late at night and then move to the other room, unpack & get re-settled in. I found the "larger and better" room not at all larger and certainly not better - it was actually smaller and it had a fireplace which we didn't even use but that must be why it was better? The layout was not as nice as the original room. A member of housekeeping came down to give us the new room keys and take our old keys and while she waited for us to move our things, she told us that she had requested maintenance on the bed in our original room over a month ago and nothing had been done about it. She said others had complained also. That really made us angry. They knew about it at 6 pm when we checked in yet still gave us that room! We never received an apology (or anything) at all. We thought that was very disappointing. They could have made the situation okay with a simple apology (maybe a complimentary drink or something?) but they never acknowledged the incident in any way. We were there two nights. Moral of the story: Always lie on the bed as soon as you get into a room - even if it's a 4 or 5 store resort!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 127Hotel great, restaurant bad
The hotel was lovely and great location. Only thing that did not meet expectation at all is the food and the restaurant. Very mediocer for such a hotel.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 3 of 127Needs improvement
Some areas of the hotel were in need of a good cleaning. Breakfast was a joke. Room was reasonably clean.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 127Cool hotel
We booked the cheapest room available and were so impressed with everything in it - big comfy bed, huge elegant bathroom, great amenities and even our own cocktail shaker / martini glasses / bottles of spirits if we fancied making our own! We preferred to sit by the bar / pool and then fire instead. The only drawback was the service at breakfast seemed to be missing the waiter, but we would return and recommend to others.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 127Beautiful Place
This hotel was gorgeous, swanky, quiet and very comfortable. We will definately go back when we are next in Palm Springs. I have already recomended the hotel to friends and family who may want to get away for a night or two who actually live in the area. The during the week price special was perfect and we felt that we got a major deal for the price. Beautiful hotel, friendly service and overall the cutest hotel I have ever stayed at.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 127The sevice varieson each visit
The sevice on this trip was poor due to a holiday weekend , in the past it was much better. I will go back again but never on a holiday when they can not meet basic needs

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 127We Hit A Winner!
Colony Palms was great especially for the amount of money that we paid. It is conveniently located to the main strip and other main streets to get you where you want to go. Nice pool, nice rooms, clean grounds...we would definitely stay there again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 127Nice hotel... Horrible mix-up
The hotel itself was very nice. The staff was very friendly and attentive. And it was very relaxing by the pool side. However, there was a mix-up with my reservation. There were 4 people staying in the room. I reserved a room with two beds but when i got there they said they only had single bed suites available. Needless to say, I was very upset. There should not be mix ups like this with the amount of money I was paying. Nice hotel, bad experience.

This is a charming boutique hotel- walk to downtown Palm Springs- beautiful setting and pool area- rooms are nice- not fancy but good detail- housekeeping leaves a bit to be desired but other than that- a terrific place- very relaxing and a good value!

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 127Romantic Hotel
My boyfriend & I wanted an end of summer trip so we booked a couple nights at the Colony Palms. It was a little hard to find since it doesn't look like much from the outside, but we were very pleased with the hotel once inside! The room was romantic & perfect for a vacationing couple who want a quiet trip. We spent most of our time in the pool, which is open 24 hours! It is a short walk from all the restaurants & night life. We will be back!
