Trip Type: Not Provided Review 2 of 271Great Hotel
Was well over my expectations for the price we paid. Room was very clean and felt much like home. Bathroom was spacious. Staff was very polite and helpful. A great place to stay and will stay there again.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 271Needs Improvement
Hotel staff was great and very helpful. I had higher expectation for the room even at a reasonable price. Shower and bath tub needed some work as well as needing a new mattress set. Replacing carpet in the room would be ideal.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 271Very good quality and value
I booked this hotel for two nights in Dallas after checking the rates, location, and comments. I got an outstanding rate and the comments were accurate - this hotel is a good choice and value. The room was very nice, with internet access (which I didn't use this trip). The lobby was also very nice, the staff were very helpful, and the complementary breakfast was satisfactory (not outstanding, but decent for a free hot buffet). The only (slight) downsides that I noticed were that the carpet in the hallway, and a few other places, was showing wear, and the room a/c was a wall-unit rather than central air. Both of those issues were minor. I would stay at this hotel again.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 271Bad Move
An award banner hanging near the front door calmed my anxiety a bit...after all, I wanted to save some money and I thought Clarion had a pretty good name. The next negative clue was the sinking feeling I had when the desk clerk noted with an air of possessive finality that I was checking in for four (4) days. I felt a subtle but unsettling sense of "now we've got you!" coming from the desk clerk. The wallpaper was peeling off the wall in my room and whereas housekeeping did as well as they could, there was a sense that the place needed serious work. There were great stains in the hallway carpet and an "unfresh" sort of smell. All of this might have been tolerable for a day or two, but for me, the deal-spoiler was the bed which might have been OK for you, but for me it was impossibly soft. One sleeless night gave me a headache in the morning. I had to move. The next morning, the desk clerk was unsympathetic, defensive and agumentative over my problem...as if he didn't think it was a valid concern. Although the sign on the wall indicated that if I wasn't completely satisfied with the front desk's handling of a problem, I would not be charged for the room. Such resistance I met! I'm still waiting to learn if I get a refund for unused nights...in my opinion the hotel demonstrated a terribly tight-fisted, and "bad-for-repeat-business" attitude. I plan on contacting Clarion headquarters about it.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 9 of 271Get what you Pay For
The location was great to where we were needing to stay, but if you want a soft place to lay your head, this isn't it. The beds are really hard and breakfast was lackluster. However, it was clean, quite, and moderately priced.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 271Outstanding for the money
Very good hotel in a great location. A little older and in slight disrepair but it really can't be beat for the price. Room was nice, hotel staff was very courteous, and the sushi at the restaurant is great! I definitely recommend and will be staying again soon.

It would be better if i had a electrical outlet by my bed rather than get a extention cord from the reception for my sleep apnia pump.
