Trip Type: Not Provided Review 1 of 45Boutique hotel in a quiet neighborhood
Lovely decor, outstanding service and delicious food are the strenghths of the Chamberlain. It is located in a residential neighborhood, so it is very quiet, but at the same time convenient to all LA locations. The highlight of our stay (with three teenage kids) was the hotel's rooftop heated swimming pool; smallish, but with breathtaking views of LA.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 45Perfect location -- outstanding service!
A gem in the center of residential West Hollywood. Subdued elegance still exists. The staff couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Very quiet, charming rooms with balconies and a fireplace. Returning there from a day of sightseeing was like returning home!

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 45Going Down
I have stayed at The Chamberlain many times over the last two years and been very happy. Unfortunately it seems to be declining. The cleanliness seems to be going downhill, both mornings my wake up calls did not come, they no longer asked if they could send up a pot of coffee as in the past in the morning, and so on... In these tough economic times, customer service is what will make or break businesses. Time for The Chamberlain to not get lazy and rest on it's laurels.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 45Good location - bad walls and floors
I would not stay here again because it was so noisy - bad insulation. I could hear every door close, the people walk around above me and the tv through the wall. My last night, the room above me had some kind of get together until 3AM - I called the front desk five times - three of which they never answered, to complain. I loved the bed and room but was too tired to enjoy it.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 45Very LA!
We were looking for a hotel with a great location, looked and felt like we were in LA and had great service. From the second we pulled into the valet and saw the Ferrari waiting for pick-up we knew we picked the right place. The service was great, the pool on the roof was awesome, the drinks were so good - get the lemonade special, and the bed was extra comfy. We could walk to all the hot spots on Sunset and Beverley Hills was only 2 miles away. This hotel met every expectation.

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 45Great Hotel...Totally surprised and happy
The location of this hotel is awesome. In a quiet little neighborhood right near Sunset Blvd. 3rd St. and Melrose isn't far away. The accommodations are great for the price. Nice small hotel. We loved the pool with bar service and fantastic burgers. Thumbs up from NH.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 45Quiet, convenient location
great location, very understated, quiet neighborhood. room was large, and nicely decorated, but it was basement level and very dark, with no view. Our patio door looked out onto a concrete retaining wall to the street level garden so the lights had to be on whenever we were in the room- no natural light. Bathroom was a bit small (for me, and I'm all of 5'2"), and had a chipped sink, and scratched enamel bathtub, but was clean. Room service was friendly, attentive and appeared sincerely concerned about making sure our stay was comfortable.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 45Great Location & Service
The rooms are very large and spacious, even with two beds and were very tidy and clean. They even had an iHome! The location of the hotel is perfect to Sunset and just a short drive to a few famous restaraunts and clubs. Its location is also in a residential back street so its actually quiet from the noise of the city. The staff was friendly and helpful and the valet guys were great! Room service was fast and overly satisfying! I had a perfect stay!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 45Good but could be better
Overall we were happy with our stay. My husband and I celebrated our 28th anniversary there for 4days/3nights. When we first arrived, after hearing we were celebrating our 28th anniversary they were going to try to provide us with sparkling lemonade (since we don't drink alcoholic beverages). They also upgraded our room. Later they said they couldn't get the sparkling lemonade - how about a special dessert. However, nothing ever materialized. That was ok, we weren't expecting anything when we arrived and it was nice that they tried. They provided us with excellent advice on where to go to get a meal and take in a movie. They also provided us with a nice map of nearby restaurants and attractions. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a partial view of the Los Angeles city but most of the view was of the roof top of the other part of the hotel. I liked the step down living room area. Also, although this might seem picky, I liked the fact that the hangers in the closet could come off the closet rod to make hanging up our clothes easy. However, while we were there the elevator did not work well and would get stuck on one of the floors. Also, we didn't swim in the pool because the water was cloudy instead of clear. Still, the location was close to Sunset Blvd. and close enough to Beverly Hills area to be in the nicer area of Hollywood. It is also nice that the location is within walking distance of several places to eat and it was close to a drug store as well.
