Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 121Bizarre dichotomy
The hotel is obviously renovating, but the ways in which they're doing so are, frankly, bizarre. Our room had beautiful, chic furniture, but had a huge gash in the wall where the minifridge had been removed and water that ran cold after five minutes. The courtyard is attractive, but would be better used to support and expand the driveway for valet parking; it was nearly impossible to navigate at times.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 2 of 121Awesome value
I thought this hotel was relatively inexpensive considering the quality of the room and the outstanding location (walking distance to great places in midtown). The staff was very friendly and helpful and the parking garage was very convenient. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 3 of 121Interesting hotel with great rooms
This is not a cookie cutter motel room. It has personality. It's larger than most standard hotel rooms and it has the added advantage of a small kitchen (no burners/oven, however). There is, however, no pool or hot tub. The breakfast, included, was very good. The remodeling is affecting the condition of the exterior of the hotel, but not the interior rooms.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 121Under construction, but very nice rooms
This is not your cookie cutter hotel. The rooms are different: larger & with a small kitchen. I get so tired of the same room over & over again. This room was not like that. The construction has impacted the condition of the hotel. The breakfast was good but hard to find. I felt like I was going into the dungeon locating it, but it was very good once I got there. While I stayed in a room with 2 beds, I noticed that the rooms with a king bed seemed overpriced for the Atlanta market for a 2 1/2 star hotel. It has no pool or hot tub. I would have preferred to book the king sized room but didn't because of the poor price to value.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 121Great location
Great Midtown location. We stay here when going to the High Museum as it's a very short walk. Also, within short driving distance to tons of great restaurants. Hotel itself is clean, comfortable and staff is very helpful although it's a little on the shabby side.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 121Construction work
The were doing major painting and construction when we were there for the SEC championship, so the hotel was very very booked, but they didn't have hot water (ever), or a lobby, and there was wet paint everywhere. The staff seemed to stressed out with all the complaints to do anything to solve the problems. Also we had a king bed and they didnt have a fitted sheet for it. We asked for one twice, and I guess they dont carry those.... So the sheet slipped all night long. Also parking is $16 a night. so be prepared for that.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 7 of 121I'd stay again but...
This is a very cool hotel. it still has the charm of the old building but was decorated with contemporary and comfortable decor. That being said, they were in the process of remodeling and I don't think our room was "partially finished" with exposed raw wood and the bathroom door was primed but not painted. Also they should provide ear plugs and sleep masks because our room was on the front of the building, the road noise and people standing outside smoking were VERY LOUD and I could smell the cigarette smoke in my room. the curtains aren't big enough to block out the light, I had to use a hair clip to close them enough to sleep. I would stay here again but ask for a room on the 2nd floor away from the front. I'm sure it will be great whenever they finish remodeling.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 121decent place in a great location
The hotel was under renovation, so the entry and halls were being fixed and redecorated, but the room was fine. It's an old apartment building but the room was very new and comfortable. I like a place like this better than a boxy suburban hotel. And MARTA Arts Center is just a block away!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 121Wonderful Hotel
The old world charm this hotel has is wonderful. It has been update since it was built in 1929 and was going through more updates while I was there, but I still enjoyed my stay. The staff goes out of their way to make you comfortable.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 121Strange hotel room
Hotel is undergoing renovation. Hallway being prepared for painting. Room had a small kitchen (with noisy refrigerator) and stairs leading to bedroom and bath. Could not get promised wireless internet connection. Bedroom has sloped ceiling with skylights. Room was clean and bed was comfortable, but there is no comfortable chair upstairs or down.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 121Give It Time
The hotel is under extensive rennovations. It smelled like paint in the hallways and the front entrance was barely accessible. You have to pay $15 per day to park. Our room was very nice and the hot breakfast bar very good. I would wait until the rennovations were done before I stayed there.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 121Homelike Hotel
This is a pleasant, friendly hotel for tourists, but it is under renovation which causes some inconvenience. Its location in midtown also means that you have to travel to see the sights or get to restaurants downtown.
