See more detailsLocation. The Arizona Grand Hotel stands one-half mile from the Arizona Mills Mall in Phoenix, Ariz. Downtown Tempe and the Sun Devil Stadium are located less than six miles away.
Hotel Features. This mission-style property occupies a 17,000-acre nature preserve. The wood-beamed Phantom Horse Grill overlooks the golf course and serves Southwest-inspired fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Latitude 30 Degrees prepares Pacific Coast specialties that include farm-raised meats and Asian-spiced garden produce. Live music performs on select evenings. Aunt Chilada's Mexican-style cantina prepares homemade tamales and Mexican favorites during lunch and dinner hours. La Cabana and the Oasis Bar & Grill offer poolside service. A 24-hour business center houses four computer stations and offers business services, for a fee. A total of 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space accommodates events. Recreational amenities include the par-71, 18-hole course at Arizona Grand Golf Club, a 7,000-square-foot practice green with a sand bunker and chipping area, and the Skill Tec 3-D golf trainer. The six-acre Oasis water park includes a wave pool, a lazy river, and one traditional and two high-speed water slides, one of which rises eight stories. The complimentary limited-hour fitness center houses cardiovascular and weight-training equipment. The Phantom Horse Spa offers beauty treatments and massage therapies such as the Desert Botanical Aroma wrap.
Guestrooms. This property offers 640 guest accommodations decorated in warm desert hues. Customized beds feature pillowtop mattresses and white-on-white bedding. Furniture is constructed of bamboo and rattan. Rooms include minibars and coffeemakers. All suites extend onto private bedroom balconies or patios, and separate living areas are furnished with sofa beds. Laptop-compatible, in-room safes are complimentary. Complimentary wireless Internet access is provided in all accommodations.
Expert Tip. As of 2008, the Oasis water park is the largest water park in the Phoenix area. Hours may be restricted due to seasonal changes or inclement weather. Children must be at least 48-inches tall to ride the slides.
