Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 1 of 13Great Value
Friend and I stayed overnight. Room had two dble. beds, small fridge and micro. Very roomy, same with bathroom. Also with balcony though faces apts across street. Convenient to main portion of Waikiki with starbucks around corner, number of bars and liquor/convenience store across hotel. We did not use prkg as friends drove us around but there is street prkg in front of hotel. Appears this was an apartment bldg. before a hotel. We were pleasantly surprised on the overall value of this hotel for staying in Waikiki.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 2 of 13Location good comfort could be better
I stayed here before they changed the name and then again just recently after its change to the Waikiki Pearl. It use to be the Honolulu Prince. The rooms have been nicely remodeled and improved. The one I was in had an LCD TV and nice decor. The bed however, was hard as a rock, and not much of a comfort to sleep on. Maybe the management will improve that as part of the renovation. The plus here is that the location is a short walk to the beach. The international market place is even closer. The cost was reasonable. The minus, besides the bed, there was no hospitality room for showering before leaving on late flight. No resturant on site nor pool or parking. Still if your looking for an inexpensive place and location to the beach is more important then frills then this place is great. You dont really need an on site resturant when there are so many places close by.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 13Very pleased
The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Waikiki. It is newly renovated and so everything was in tip top shape. The daily maid service was meticulous and the 24 hour reception is helpful. The price we paid for our stay (low season and special reduction) was absolutely perfect (not to say cheap ;)) I would highly recommed the Waikiki Pearl to other travellers.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 6 of 13Cant beat the location or the room rates
My husband and I only had a couple of nights in Honolulu before heading to Kauai. We didnt need a pool or anything fancy. This place was really close to Waikiki via the International Market, next to a Starbucks (bonus) and walking distance to a lot of great stuff. The only bummer is the parking. Street parking is hard to find so you are left with paying $18.00+ ad day for either their lot which is small or one next door. So keep that in mind when booking here. It gets an overall B+ rating from me. Its clean, close and comfortable enough. For the price, its a great value.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 13Sevrice is Lacking
We booked a Queen Size room for our anniversary, but received two full size beds. All of the rooms surrounding us had tint on the window to block the view of passing guests, but ours did not. When we went to the front desk to try to change rooms, she told us our room is actually larger and has a Queen and Full Size (didn't look like it; looked same to us). We told her we preferred the one queen and she then said again are you sure because the queen size room is smaller than the one you are in. Frustrated that I had to argue that I wanted another room; that asking for a different room the first time wasn't enough, we took the original room completely unsatisfied. Furthermore they had inadequate parking. We had to park in the parking garage next door.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 13Great Value!
This was amazing! Considering the location, if you only need a room to stay in, which is right in the middle in Waikiki, this is getting the most of your money. Because they recently re-did the rooms, it is actually not bad for what you pay for and it is very convenient. Everything in Waikiki becomes a walking distance which is great. The only thing is parking. We checked in late and their lot is full, even the substitute parking was full. Good thing we lived here before and somewhat familiar with the area so we were able to find parking.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 9 of 13Solid buy for the money
Comfortable, small room, in a budget hotel with few ammenities. Located in the center of Waikiki, several blocks from the beach. Parking can be a bear (the hotel itself has limited parking, but you can buy space in the hotel parking structure next door. Solid Kama'aina (local resident) hotel. Beach, many restaurants, shopping all within walking distance.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 13Great hotel for those on a budget
The location of the hotel is close to everything. Walking distance to Waikiki Beach is about 5 minutes or less. This hotel is good for those who are on a budget, but want to stay in a place that is a bit more quiet and still close to everything else. The hotel offers parking at "Waikiki's price," but you can always find free street parking along the canal if you don't mind walking.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 13Excellent Choice!
(1) Great location: It's close to food, bus stop, shopping area, and only 4 SHORT blocks to the beach. At first, we had concern about the walk to the beach. Not an issue at all. In fact, I enjoyed the short walk! (2) Great room: Since it's newly remodeled, the room is nice & neat. I stayed at the most economical room (with cheapest rate) which doesn't offer me any city view. But I'm ok with that. I'm hardly in my room anyway. But for the time that I'm in the room, I have no problem sleeping, except the A/C is kind of loud. Oh, not to mention the hotel offers FREE internet! Quite useful. And if you didn't bring your own laptop, there's a desktop available at the Lobby. A nice brandnew Mac. We're very pleased with our choice of Waikiki Pearl. We'll definitely come back again.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 13Free In Room internet A LIE
So I get here and first thing the air conditioner in my room doesn't work. So they switch me, fine. Next, there is no internet in my room, which was advertised as included. I call the front desk, they say I should be able to get wireless in my room. Nope. They're response, "oh well if you need the internet for work, you can just come to the lobby and use that internet." Well first off, that sucks. I didn't rent a room to hang out in a lobby. And second, the internet didn't work in the lobby! So they'll put a cable in my room the next day. When they do, it wants to charge me 10+ dollars a day for what was supposed to be included! Screw that! Also rooms have no iron or ironing board. So my clothes that were a little wrinkled from being in a suitcase, stayed that way.
