"Good value for the location"

We've stayed 3 times at this hotel. It's just the two of us and it's a bit cozy. (lol)these rooms are small as I'm sure one will see with other reviews. The price of the room is what makes up for the inconviences the room offers. they do come with a fridge, microwave,coffee maker and hair dryer to help with a stay on a budget and for someone that wants to pack light. As my wife is a coffee drinker we are disappionted that cofee is supplied only the first day of your stay. You may be able to purchase coffee from the front desk, but we've never bothered. Aloha

You get what you pay for.

Nice, but overworked staff. Charged 18.00 a day to park car in the hotel's garage. Very Very small rooms. Only two elevators for the whole hotel and they can sometimes take awhile to reach the upper floors. I wouldn't stay there again unless there were no other options in Waikiki.

Get what you pay for

I don't stay in my room other then sleep & shower. So, for the price its not bad. The bus stop is right outside the door. Really convenient. I stayed here twice now.Most likely will stay here again.

good cheap hotel

this hotel was great for just needing a place to sleep and bathe. i recommend it if you are simply staying in Hawaii for a few days and are on a tight budget. my room was on the eight floor and had view was not as great but really who stays in the room just for the view? it was a short walk to the beach and the international market place. the only poor thing about the room is the air circulation, i had to open the windows (which only opened a little) in order to cool the room down since the air condition didnt really work i guess. it did smell but it was probably because someone was smoking in one of the rooms and the smoke traveled through the vents. but i didnt mind it as much. so really if your looking for something cheap go here or any of the other aqua hotels in waikiki. cause why spend money on a hotel when all your gonna use it for is to sleep?

Perfect for a budget traveller

Would definitely recommend it if you just need a cheap place in central location to spend the night. Close to the beach, shops, restaurants. Not the cleanest. I found a dead cockroach in the bathroom LOL. You get what you pay for. Note that there's a fee for parking and it is high. You can park in a hotel a block away for half the price.

I sure exceeded my expectations based on comments!

There was absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. Consider in a Japanese or Euro Style hotel in a big city ... or somethin'. The rooms were small but perfik' for me OR a honeymoon couple or other couple ... who get along. My room had an oceanfront view, a microwave, a med. fridge, and comfortable standard sized bed. The tub was actually larger than most Waikiki hotel tubs. Room was very adequate. Staff was hardworking and helpful and friendly. Location could not be much better. I like this hotel and will come back!

Okay for the cost

I would rate this hotel just barely okay. I'd stay there again if I needed an inexpensive place in Waikiki again, but would not tarnish my reputation by recommending it to friends. The location is good and the front desk staff did a fine job but the physical condition of this property leavea a lot to be desired. It leaves the impression of deferred maintenance and cost cutting measures by tight-wad owners. BTW,the wireless computer access only works in certain rooms so if this is important to you, be sure to mention it when you check in. We had to change rooms to access email.

Great Room For The Money!

The hotel was in a great location (a block from the beach and the City Bus stops right in front of the hotel from the airport). The room was a little small - think European. Then again, who stays in their room in Hawaii. In response to other comments I have seen, our AC was not noisy and the elevator arrived quickly.

Good Room for the money

I arrived in town at 3AM, was tired and couldn't wait to get to bed. The room was okay, looked liked a small studio, but it met my needs at the time. I would recommend Aqua Continental to those that want to save on the expense of hotel accommodations.

nasty hotel

There was no hot water; the beds were sub-standard; the A/C didn't work and I will never stay there again!

OK for short stay and cost conscious ones

The hotel was in a very convenient location. No doubt about it. However, because of the location, it was also very noisy and the hotel had minimal sound prooved walls to either the outside or adjacent rooms. It was OK if you stayed for a few nights. After a few nights, you either get used to it or it gets to you. I heard the bus throughout the night. The cost was definitely unbeatable for Waikiki. I traveled solo to Oahu and the small room worked out for me. However, it's definitely not for families. The hotel elevator was very slow. If you have places to be, be sure to leave plenty of time to get downstairs by elevator as the stairs are not accessible.

Great location for the money

Don't choose this property if you are out to make a big impression. On the other hand if you want a basic room, in a great location in Waikiki then consider this property.
