Good room for the price

We needed an economical room for the night near Disneyland. It met all of our needs. Yest the towels were small and scratchy but the room was clean and the location is right next to Disneyland. (they had a decent cup of coffee too!) We walked down to the Grand Hotel California and entered the park through the lobby to downtown Disney. Worked perfect!

The wonderful world of Disney

The microwaves in the room only worked in one minute intervals and the towels were, as most others state, scratchy. But bring your own and you're golden. The rooms are not terrible and it really is a convenient location.

ok room for the money

I guess you get what you pay with this hotel.. Overall customer service needs improvement.. Not friendly nor helpfull with guest.. We asked for assistance for general information to visit Disney and were not given accurate info nor assistance with general inquiries. Staff in front desk not customer focused AT ALL.. No Wi-fi access in rooms only in reception.

Just my opinion

The room was fine...the beds are hard, but we mainly used the room for convience of how close it was to disneyland and that part was great. My only complaint was the customer service. When I showed up my room type aparently was not ready for me so we were put in a different room. I couldn't help but wonder if I now over paid for my room.

Great Hotel

The hotel was close to Disneyland. There is a shuttle that you can catch for a small fee but it's not a far walk and the street is well lit. The only complaint my husband had about the hotel was that the hot water did not last very long but overall we had a very nice stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Stay at Alamo Inn

This was a great stay. Room size was great with a prime location for the business meetings conducted. Cleanliness was optimal and food opportunities were great. I would recommend this stay for anyone needing accommodations in the area.

Average quality with Good location and Reasonable Price

I think Alamo Inn is OK in general during our 3 night stay there. The room was generally clean, but when we moved in on the first night, there was a strong chemical smell, which led me to think they might use some cheap detergent to clean the whole room before we moved in. The smell was so strong that I have to open the door for a while to allow some fresh air coming in. Also the room I stayed has a minor leaking on toilet, and the shower water was not strong, the cold and hot water was not easy to adjust either. But since the Inn is only about 15min walk to Disneyland (our only reason to stay here), and about 2 min walk to Denny's restaurant, I think it is ok to stay here for 2-3 nights, by paying one of the cheapest hotel/motel rates around Disneyland.

Dirty and stink

The room was stinky as soon the door was open. The carpet is dirty and stinky. The heater is too noisy, it sound like a semi truck crowling up the steep hill. The bath tub is very noisy when other room is using the shower. The vending machine place next to room is old and loud. I spent two sleepless night there. I would never go back to Alamo Inn agian. Don't book this hotel if you are expecting the resting night after your exhaustion:-(

You get what you pay for...

With all the negative reviews, I was a little apprehensive, but for the price it was what I expected. Do bring your own towels (theirs are tiny & scratchy) and pillows (I bring my own anyway...). The location could NOT be beat..walking distance to Downtown Disney & Denny's right next door (Kids do NOT eat free there anymore, we tried, but they do not honor that promo any longer...). Overall, a room for a cheap price.

Need Improvement

Our beds were very hard, the phone and a/c did not work. There was a ticking all night long. The heater made loud bangs during the night. The shower was peeling and didn't seem very nice. The location was ok. This could be a good hotel if they would update it.

Amazing location and great room

We recently stayed at this hotel for one night and had a great time. Not only did we have two cars, but both cars didn't cost anything to park. We were able to walk to and from Disneyland with no problem, and the hotel staff gave us numbers of nearby pizza and liquor stores that actually delivered to our room. We had an amazing stay and I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay near Disneyland.

Perfect Location if going to Disneyland!

My husband and I read over the reviews before staying at this hotel, and were surprised when we got there, because the room was very clean and decent. We just needed a room for one night, because we were staying at The Disneyland Hotel the following night...so the price was perfect! If you're expecting a room similar to The Marriott, Hilton, etc...then don't stay here, but if you don't mind a Motel 6, then this hotel is for you! It took us less than 10 minutes to walk to Disneyland.... I recommend it!
