    OCCIDENTAL GRAND PAPAGAYO
    I made a call that the hotel said would cost $1.25 per minute and found after I got home, I had a $185 bill for 15 minutes! Meals at the two restaurants have to be reserved and if you arrive late in the day, you must ask for a special favor to get your reservation!...More

    OCCIDENTAL GRAND PAPAGAYO
    There was construction somewhat closeby, it was not loud, but pool constantly needed to be cleaned. The service was the best I have ever seen and I have been to tons of fabulous resorts. It could just be the people of Costa Rica. And when they say all inclusive it really is and is good. Some activities like bingo volleyball archery and pool aerobics, but mostly I stayed at the beach which was nice but small. However there were chairs, snrkel equipment and kayaks as well as sun and shade all day, and vendors to buy trinkets if you wanted. There was no sunset because of the cove, but you culd walk up a short hill above the resort and see it everyday, highly recommend this. There was one tennis court and it was okay, we played everyday sometimes two times per day. Go to Gingers out for dinner once it was great. Coco Beach nearby kind of dingy, the gift shop at this hotel is nice and comparable prices to downtown....More

    OCCIDENTAL GRAND PAPAGAYO
    Just stayed at the occidental grand papagayo in March. The hotel definitely can use some updates such as weak water pressure for toilettes and showers. We had two rooms and my children's room had a broken handle for the toillete. The air conditioning in the gym was turned off most of the time and it was very hot in the afternoon. Otherwise the hotel was very pretty and the service was good. People were friendly. Overall it was great value for the money we spent....More
