    Fiesta Inn Veracruz Boca D Rio
    The staff was very courteous and helpful; they went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one. Upon arrival, we were given an unsatisfactory room (I had reserved a king/ocean view and got 2 double beds/pool view); when I brought it to the staff's attention, they quickly moved us and I was very pleased with the new room. The swim-up bar was closed the entire time we were there; the staff said it was because of the poor weather and because there were only a few of us at the pool. Also, you must have a credit card on file in order to charge anything to your room. All in all, I enjoyed the hotel....More

    Hotel Morales Historical & Colonial Downtown Core
    The hotel is very beautiful and in a great location, yet the trouble starts during the late night hours. The building is very old and somewhat newly renovated, however the materials chosen are terribly wrong for a multi-level building. For example, the installed laminated flooring is very noisy and the doors to the shower and toilet area can be heard from above during each use. My wife and I had the displeasure of spending two horrible nights in this hotel. Given that we are light sleepers, we could not sleep for two consecutive nights, thereby ruining out vacation. The walls and the ceilings made cracking sounds on and off all night long, somewhat emulating a mouse/rat in search for food. No one goes on vacation in search of sleep deprivation. Furthermore, the beds are extra-firm (doesn't move to the contour of your body) and the pillows are extremely soft. The beds are like sleeping on plywood boxes with a mattress pad....More
