The Jalousie Plantation
We stayed at 3 different resorts on St Lucia while we were there. The Jalousie Plantation was a very beautiful setting between the Pitons. The room was very nice and service by the staff excellent. The only down side was a very, very, pricey menu in the restaurants and the fact that they are a little stuffy on the dress code. I didn't bring dress slacks so I was not allowed to eat in the main dinner room. That kinda' ticked me off. I mean, you're on vacation and paying these people. A nice pair of jeans should be ok but I was denied access. Also, the other guests weren't very friendly either. Snobby people abound here. We make a very comfortable living (you couldn't afford this place if you don't) but I enjoy people and I didn't like the attitudes we encountered from other guests. I wouldn't stay here again but not because of the hotel staff or setting. It was just overpriced and unfriendly. There are better places to stay on the island and a lot more affordable and friendly....More

St. Lucian by Rex Resorts
Hotel was kept very clean. Great beach.Lots of security. Room was comfortable with minor water pressure problems, lots of hot water, but don't flush while someone is in the shower. Cannot comment on food as we did not go all inclusive, however watch for double billing if you go c.o.d.. overall very nice hotel, nice shows in the evening, well kept and clean. would return....More

Bay Gardens Hotel
My wife and I stayed here on our way to a Windjammer cruise. We were lucky enough to get a room in the "300" area which appears to be a failed condo that was rolled into the hotel. We had a kitchen with full size appliances, a big sitting room and big bedroom with adjoining bath.
Staff very friendly and food just fine (buffet barbeque the night we arrived, very good buffet breakfast the next morning).
Would recommend to anyone....More
