Cellai Boutique Hotel
When we arrived in florence the hotels computer was down so they rebooked us with the hotel next door for 1 night. The rest of the time we were at thisd hotel. The hotel was nice, great location, friendly staff and had a larger than expected room. The hotel has bikes that you can borrow to ride around town and you can get to David with in a 5 minute walk. Every other attraction is close also. We have stayed in many hotels and for a european hotel it is a bargain in what you pay and what you get......More

Cascina Palace
Our room was very clean, so the maids know how to do their jobs. Breakfast was also nice. The rest was awful. The staff was rude, hostile, and they all seemed put-out by our questions and when it was time for us to check out, they hounded us to leave ASAP. We paid for a room that was listed as having a double bed, when it was actually two twins pushed together, and the mattresses were thin and sinking in the middle and slid all over the place. The only linens on the bed were thin sheets under us, usually exposing the mattress, and then we had one thin sheet and one slightly thicker sheet as blankets. We were freezing during the night and the heater was very noisy and kept us awake. The shower water was only luke warm every time we took a shower and the elevator only worked on the way up from the lobby. Coming down three flights of stairs with all our luggage was a huge pain. If you're travelling to Rome for the first time, and you need help getting to the hotel from the train station or airport, you can expect the staff to have contempt and disrespect for you....More

Hotel was very hard to find, but when we found it we were located in a good central location, close to downtown and the train station. One of the reasons we choose this hotel was because it included breakfast, but there was much to be desired there....More
