The Palace Hvar
You simply can't do better with the location here- the hotel is steps away from the Jardolinia dock in Hvar. The accomodations are sparse and need some updating (which I understand they will be getting soon). One plus is it is a Suncani Hotel- meaning you get 15% off all drinks and dining at all of the hotels on the island (and there are several all within a short stroll), it adds up as prices are not insignificant. The rooms have no A/C, which meant we slept with the windows open. Our room faced the harbor- a gorgeous view, but right over late night revelers which cut into our sleeping hours. Overall, it was well worth it and I would gladly stay there again. I wouldn't, however, recommend it to those with more delicate tastes....More

Hotel Lero
Beautifu location next to beautiful sea yet hotel was updated 50 years ago. The rooms were old, somewhat clean, no shampoo or any toiletries, wine stains on telephone, noisy, torn uppart, old dirty carpet,etc... Much like cheap motels....More

Hotel Splendid
We found the Splendid to be outstanding, with beautiful seaside views and an extremely concientious staff. The location was convenient to bus service into the old city, with discount tickets available at reception. Rooms were clean and well maintained, with balcony's with beautiful sea views. The location is within 500 yards of shopping and restaurant's. The hotel restaurant also offers excellent option as well. In the final analysis the staff is what sets this hotel apart. I can't say enough about their friendly attitude and desire to help. Outstanding value for money completes the package....More
