    Oaks Lagoons
    With so many accommodations offered in the town of Port Douglas, what was wonderful about this hotel was that it was a bit out of the rat race of the tourist town, but not far away from it so you can enjoy the beach, the life of the town and so on without the hassle of being in the middle of it. The hotel is new, rooms are spacious and clean. They could improve on comfort of pillow and bed quality was my only negative. The staff was helpful with excursions and very accommodating about an early check in. There is a terrific little restaurant just walking distance from this hotel called the Beach Shack that has fabulous food enjoyed by foodies and children alike....More

    Sydney Marriott Hotel
    Just got back from 10 days at the Sydney Marriott and had a fantastic time. The room is clean, comfortable and quiet. As tourist, we weren't at the hotel a lot and appreciated easy access to trains to Circular Quay and buses to the city or Bondi Beach. Fantastic coffee vendor for a quick breakfast right outside the front lobby and reasonably priced internet access. Beautiful pool and gym on the roof that overlooks the city. Just steps away from a walk through Hyde Park. I would definitely recommend staying here....More
